which is almost exactly what she said on Good Morning America....SirenSong wrote:No mention whatsoever. Let's see....what were the topics.....babies....hubby....how wonderful hubby is....what a great performer hubby is....how great hubby is with children and how he taught her everything about kids....fashion....her performance in a triatholon.....whooping cough and her PSA for vaccines for parents or anyone around small children....and I think that's about it. So lots of conversation mostly centering on her twins and Marc. Basically 15 minutes of nothing much new.VAsusieQ18 wrote:Okay, does anyone know if JLo mentioned the movie or Alex on "Rachael Ray"? VAsusieQ18 wrote:Great! One more thing I can delete off of my DVR, to save room for Moonlight reruns. I've no clue why I keep recording the episodes. I have the DVDs, and I have the 16 episodes from CBS on another DVR in my bedroom. Obsessed? Moi?
they always ask the same questions on those shows.darkstarrising wrote:which is almost exactly what she said on Good Morning America....SirenSong wrote:No mention whatsoever. Oh, yeah. I forgot to mention that I also have all the episodes on Amazon Unbox and iTunes. And a friend gave me the pirated bootleg HD episodes.willing freshie wrote:Susie
Time to delete those eps---I have them on Unbox and the DVD set. Buy the Unbox set and then grab that remote, bring up each ep, close your eyes---ready----1----2-----3---press DELETE! Do that 16 times; that will be the only way you can be cured of ML obsession. (But make sure you get the Unbox for your comp and have the DVDs locked up safe!)![]()

Wow, that's harsh.willing freshie wrote:I think J Lo is using the "whooping cough" campaign as a reason to get herself back out in the public. It is strictly a PR move. I mean there are more pressing things to support.

Naw, I don't think she's using the whooping cough campaign as a PR stunt. She's a new mother and I honestly think she's serious about the campaign. Most likely, she was approached to be the spokesperson for the issue, because she is famous and can get the word out about the vaccination shot. She's really not stumping anything. Just talk about her husband and her career. If she was looking for something to help with a "combeback", then I would think she'd wait until she actually had something to promote. Like a new movie or album. Yes, this campaign got her air time on the tube, and thats not a bad thing, definitely a plus, but that doesn't mean she's not serious about her desire to help promote public awareness.redwinter101 wrote:Wow, that's harsh.willing freshie wrote:I think J Lo is using the "whooping cough" campaign as a reason to get herself back out in the public. Well, let's see...I have no dvr, but all the eps on Itunes, the DVD, and a couple on Amazon unbox.VAsusieQ18 wrote:Great! One more thing I can delete off of my DVR, to save room for Moonlight reruns. No. It's your opinion.willing freshie wrote:Sorry but it is the truth.
He sounds like a wonderful man - but I'm not sure what your point is in this context.willing freshie wrote:Red, my dad was a thoracic and cardiovascular surgeon who was a pioneer in the field. He helped invent the first heart/lung machine and was one of a handful of heart surgeons here on the west coast in the 50's. He was eventually Chief of Staff (head of the nospital)here in San Diego. I volunteered many summers in his hospital.
And I am sure that those involved with whooping cough campaigns are delighted to have celebrity support - the fact that we are discussing it here proves its worth in awareness-raising alone. I'm sure it is especially difficult for charities to gain celebrity support when they aren't for high profile or "glamorous" causes.willing freshie wrote:Whooping cough is on the rise, yes, but it is not as frequent as this interview implies.
