It was WONDERFUL! I was crying at the end, too. For a fleeting moment I thought he was going to do something to Stanley on the ferris wheel. But then the whole "never wish you were dead" and "You helped me to see". And then he just slumps over..
Alex was awesome in this role.
The bread and the saran wrap... euww.

Keep your

that this episode's ratings are through the roof! There could not be a more clearer signal to CBS that Alex is beloved than a great showing in the ratings. We'll never beat American Idol

, but if we could pull 15 million or so, it would definitely show CBS that Alex is everything they had hoped for and more!

And Fleur... I your mom....
Well, you won't when I tell the rest of her comments. She did not like him in that role--she just wants her Mick back. She liked him as a vamp. (and she has said that to me repeatedly!)
Me, I am much more flexible. And I thought he was outstanding. To be able to kill so many people and yet have the audience feel badly for you--that takes skills. And he's got 'em in spades.

I am so glad our venerable Prez got OFF THE STAGE right on cue... and Katie C did her part too... well that sums it up, Bob, in 100 words or less... on with the show!
And I hope there is an uptick in the ratings... but AI had a very special ep tonite... so we'll see... and Lost had it's 100th ep, for those still caring if anyone got eaten by polar bears...
And cannot blame Mama Fleur for wanting Mick back... we alllll want Mick back... we've just reached that final stage of mourning before your mom is all... she'll come around when he's saving little kids with heart transplants...

Yes, he has skills. Tons and tons of skills. But I'm with Mom. I want my vamp back. I appreciate his acting here. It made the show great, but I loved him in ML.

The little guy was great. Stayed in character, especially with the little details. Loved the chemistry between the two of them.
Really excellent episode.
I'm all proud to be an Alex fan!

Several of the press articles I read today (local newspapers advertising the episode) all were quoted as saying that Alex's performance was "Emmy award winning". Only time will tell, but he sure has my vote for best guest starring role.
So, does anyone know why Vincent was mimicing the little boy with the teeth clicking thing? I know the little boy did it for spacial recognition, but why Vincent? Was it further evidence of the bond he had with the boy? Perhaps a reminder of him when he was young and that he had just put the little boy in the same position he found himself many years before?
A shrink could analyze this episode for days!

Anyone know how soon the rating for this ep will be available?
(always looking ahead)

And if Vincent, as a little boy, saw his Mom being killed why did he identify more with the killer and start killing blond women?

Zap2It is usually out first with the preliminary ratings. TVbytheNumbers by late afternoon. I get their e-mail every day, so if no one beats me to it, I'll post what I find out tomorrow.

Don't know about the clicking, SQ. I noticed at the amusement park Stanley went to grab Vincent's hand, and Vincent pulled away so Stanly was touching his jacket instead. Then at the top of the ferris wheel, Vincent touches Stanley's hand. The redemption moment Alex was talking about. I think that's when my tears started.

Mine too, MLC. For a severely afflicted OCDer like Vincent, that was huge!
