Thanks for the warning, Grace. And speaking Aussie, huh? Well, that sucks the fun right out if it.wpgrace wrote:Phoenix wrote:The cinema in my town didn't show White Out - although they advertised it - so I still haven't seen it.However, the DVD rental place allowed me to put in an advance request, so when it becomes available here, they will send it to me.
Don't get your hopes up too high, Phee... there's a couple good Alex scenes, but a whole lotta not-Alex, and not-good.
But totally worth seeing for the few good Alex scenes there are... tho be forewarned, he's speaking Aussie in this movie!

Of course it's ok with me. I didn't know if it was ok to post it here so that's why I put up the link. If it's ok with the board it's sure ok with me. Good grief he's gorgeous.Albra wrote:Why I am not surprised ?

So for one boring reason after another I never got around to buying Whiteout on DVD when it was released but I now have my very own copy to add to my Alex collection of DVDs.
Very much looking forward to watching again (may just skip to the Alex bits
) especially the extra features.

Hm. I bought it on iTunes but not on DVD. It'd be great to know if there are any worthwhile extras, coco.

Bit disappointed there's no commentary as I'm a sucker for those but I'm hoping to find some Alex goodness in amongst some of the above. I'll report back.

OK, I can't take it!
Yes, the extra is worth it! The two seconds of Alex running naked in the featurette is worth the entire movie.

Re: Whiteout, part 2: more discussion, links, and so on
Not a single glimpse in the deleted scenes or the trailer which was disappointing but I've loved the first featurette immensely. There is quite a bit of Alex. It's the interview we've all seen pics of posted but his voice is so lovely and he appears in far more of it than I expected. There is this one clip where he appears on camera as if he is aiming what looks like a crossbow thing and it looks so much like the ML clip at his bookcase.
Gotta say that it could have been anyone running across the ice. I could barely make out anyone.
The second featurette has a tiny glimpse of Alex in the towel with his tats on show. I'm happy with that. A couple of other clips too as they talk about the characters from page to screen.
