Coraline was amazing in these scenes. So honest, direct, reasonable and darned likeable. Spooky.

Her chemistry with Mick was amazing here.

If this is how they were, I can totally understand their marriage lasting as long as it did. But that being said, I understand that Coraline is the consummate actress. She has had centuries to hone her craft and Mick is a captive audience of one.

Yes, Jenna, I totally agree. Coraline is such a mystery. Was she being honest? Was she just stringing Mick along? There's evidence for both schools of thought...

Okay, that line: "Yeah, well, I almost burned you alive, so I guess that makes us even" line... it's chilling. Mick is so matter-of-fact with Coraline here.
