MoonlightFanFic.com closing

Many of our members know Nikki, who hosted the Moonlight Gala in Chicago and ran the BuzzWire.net Moonlight fan forum for several years. She has tweeted that she will be shutting down her fanfic site, MoonlightFanFic.com. It's sad to see another Moonlight site going dark.

I've never heard of that site. Wish I had. Do you think that someday there will be no more Moonlight fiction sites?

Yeah sad to see another one go away. The administrator had a great story going over there called In Need but sadly she never finished it. Oh well....

I'm not sure how much was posted there, that wasn't posted elsewhere...in fact, some of our members have (or had) stories posted on that archive.

But we do welcome new or re-locating ML fic-writers! And readers, too!

I'm so sad to hear the news. I will really miss that site. I've spent a lot of time there over the years, and it was a blast. I'm grateful for that.

And gals, do yourselves a favour before the site is gone -- check out the picture that first appears when you load the site....

That was the very first Moonlight site I found. I so hate that they are closing it down.

I don't get it, I mean, I don't know about these things, but why do these sites close? Is it that they don't get any members anymore visiting...or is there a maintenance cost?

alle That was really comforting, coming from your lips, you know...MLA is my refuge, my happy place, a second family to proudly belong to!

Maggatha, yes, it costs money to maintain a site. But more than money, it takes lots of time. I assume that Nikki is just too busy to maintain the forum, in addition to the money issue.

I am very lucky to have wonderful mods to help me run this forum, and to be financially able to keep it going. So I hope you all feel comfortable that MLA will be here as long as people want it.

I have been over there but not for a very long time. I hate to hear of another site going dark, but I think most of the authors I remember over there are on here, or at least are aware of this site. That is the up side. Glad to hear that MLA isn't going anywhere! I know there is some freaking amazing fic here that isn't available anywhere else, and it has a great team running it. Alle-g, you and the admin team are awesome!

Awww sad to hear another ML site closing up shop. I liked to read stuff over there at MLFF only because they have the dark background with white lettering...for some reason it's easier on my eyes.

I'm so glad MLA isn't going anywhere as this is my ML home. I plan to be here for as long as you]ll have me.
