These are VERY cool! I think the "freezer burn" look would have been too hard to maintain, although I like it... especially that fangy grin.

Is that shirtless one of him on the leather couch from the pilot? His hair looks shorter, and I don't remember any scene like that...

By the way, I realized after I saw this thread that Rhonda has posted the links to the original (bigger) twitpics on the All About Mick thread. But since this is such a wonderful find, I want to leave this as a separate thread, to make sure people see it in Active Topics. These are real treasures!!

Me too . . . I can't even believe these pictures are appearing in front of my eyes! Thanks so so so so so much for posting them!!! I was completely overwhelmed by the first few and now I can hardly even take in the new ones . . . but I will!

I think it must be from the original pilot. . . shorter hair and that looks like the couch that was in the first pilot . . .(and he's got that "I've just mainlined some blood" expression . . . maybe that's right after they showed him injecting the blood in the original pilot, front view instead of side view . . . )

This pic is from when they shot the unaired pilot. Mick is in his NY apt. As for the satin strip in his lap...you see him pick it up off his coffee table and put it away when Beth came over to question him about doing a story on him.



It's most likely a refeance shot for this scene. Mick "LA in the 80's. No place you'd wanna be unless you had to be"

Wow Kath, that is so cool! I never really noticed that strip of cloth in the original pilot before, just that Mick looked nervous and was moving things around a bit. What an eye you have for detail!! Hmm... wonder if he had been using it as a tourniquet, to raise a vein to inject himself with blood. That might be why he didn't want to have it out while Beth was there.



And in this pic it looks like that is Beth on the monitor.
I wonder if they originally did a scenario where where Beth showed up while he had his shirt off and had been injecting himself with blood, and later changed that to having Beth's mom show up at such a moment in the flashback. In the original pilot as we saw it, when Mick was looking in the monitor at Beth, he had his shirt on.
