Although I'm not sure what Mary Bryant she was watching...I've got a bit of a problem with her basic depiction of Mary as a whore.

I agree PNWgal. Mary did what she had to do to survive, but her love for Will was evident. Sleeping with only 2 other men besides Will (the guard that fathered her daughter (before she even met Will) and Lieutenant Ralph Clarke to keep her children from starving as well as keeping him distracted to get everyone safely away) I would not call that as being a tart or whore...not really. Desperate times called for desperate measures and back in those days women were worth less then chattel. She used what value she had in their eyes to get what she needed.
BTW look at this Kiss! OMG! Can this man KISS or what?!
