Although Alex hasn't personally released a statement that we know of, we don't think E! would post the story without confirming the rumor, so we want to start this thread so that people can celebrate the wonderful news.

Wishing Alex, Malia, and their family all the best! That is going to be one gorgeous kid, I bet...

Hmm, the other day, someone posted a pic of him looking interestedly at an infant. Guess now we know why the interest!

Well if that's the case, then God bless em and no wonder he loves Hawaii so much! Such a private man and they do seem to give him his privacy.

Congrats to Alex. Maybe I am somewhat of a prude and old fashioned but for the child's sake, I hope he gets married first this time. (He was extremely young when his son was born, but is definitely an adult now.) Please no fruits or vegetables - just my opinion - I think it is better for any child if Mom and Dad are married first (as long as that's possible).

Hey, you'll get no tomatoes from me. My son has two children and no wife, and I don't get it. But the good news is, there truly doesn't seem to be any stigma attached to having unmarried parents anymore... and however we may feel, it is definitely not considered obligatory by young people today to get married before having kids. So I guess we old fogies need to move with the times.

What I am truly hoping for, for everyone's sake, is that they have a solid, happy relationship and that they can build a wonderful family together. That's the really important thing. So I'll be sending some mental rainbows their way, for a firm and loving relationship and a happy, healthy family--whether or not there's any rings involved.

This one does say the news is confirmed by his representatives.
