I love his description of the director giving the actors 'freebies' - that's a cool ideal. Maybe the actors put a better spin on a scene than the director envisioned or maybe the final scene gets modified based on what the director saw in the freebie.

Both interviewers harken back to 'Veronica Mars' (understandable), but I found it interesting that Jason mentioned ML several times.
