I recognized Jacob Vargas in Marvel's Luke Cage. He plays criminal Domingo Colon a drug and illegal gun runner in Harlem NY.
I started watching this series on NetFlix Wednesday and got sucked in. I'm 7 episodes in of 13 and it's pretty good 'cause I'm easy like that.
At my current binge-watching pace I'll probably finish it by this weekend.

Premise: Given superstrength and durability by a sabotaged experiment, a wrongly accused man escapes prison to become a superhero for hire.

Also Alfre Woodard, who stared with Alex in Tree Rivers, is also a prominent character in this series. She plays a bad baddie.

I love this series. And Jacob is great in it!
