Ohhhh, Shadow! This is so lovely.

It absolutely tugs at my heart. They both had risked - and lost - so much for love over their long lives. Especially Josef. Indeed, a vampire does wander through a lonely life. Even turning a love to share one's immortality holds no guarantees, as both Josef and Coraline found out. The one constant Mick and Josef have is their friendship. Through turning and re-turning, loves lost and hope found, they can lean on one another and walk that road together.

I am nodding in agreement with everything Lilly said. What a beautiful video! The song is so wistful... and it takes us on such a journey. We don't often see Josef as lonely on the show. He hides that side of himself very well. But, especially in Sleeping Beauty, the mask slips a bit and we see a glimpse of 400 years of never being able to settle, never fully trusting, and the terrible possibilities inherent in giving in to love. Mick's journey has been shorter, but he already has learned many of those harsh lessons. How lucky that they became friends! They have each other's back.

Thank you for this wonderful video, Shadow! It amazes me how you keep finding new stories to tell us.

This really is an amazing video. Their relationship is so special and when you think Mick is so young compared to Josef. Makes me want to rewatch the show.

Thanks so much for watching, Lilly and Alle and Cassy! I'm glad to have had the luck to find this music .....a song about friendship is kind of a rare thing. When I first heard the song, I thought immediately of using it for Josef and Mick. It doesn't seem at all easy for our vampires to have friends, particularly since it's in their nature to keep secrets.... which makes such a close friendship between these two even more special.

And I was also really happy that I was (eventually) able to remember how to do the technical stuff! I should probably make sure I don't leave so much time between vids again.
