This was the vid I had always planned to make when I heard about the Valentine challenge. MickCora doesn't come as easy to me as MickBeth vids so that was my first challenge. The second was that in the last two vids I've made for MickCora, I've always used upbeat, rockier songs as I find this helps me with the scenes MickCora had together so I found using a slower, more romantic song much more difficult.

The MickBeth vid I made for the challenge only came about when I got stuck with this one and had to leave it for a bit. I'm happy to say that I finally got this finished and really do hope it has worked *fingers crossed*

I loved it, coco. You're right, it is unusual to find a romantic M/C vid as they are usually about the passion and the drama rather than the romance.

But put them together with the magnificent Miss Etta James and you're onto a winner. There was a beautiful wistfulness to this - it really emphasised what a sad story Mick/Cora really have. So much possibility, but just not meant to be. And enough sexual tension to light up a small country....

I admit, I struggled with this. Wasn't sure if it worked or not. It felt a little sad to me when I watched it and I wasn't sure that was the best result for it but I'm relieved that people like it and it seems to have worked *phew*

I think sad is appropriate - I doubt Mick and Coraline would ever have had a truly happy Valentine's Day. They might have had a passionate one, or even a romantic one, but happy? I don't think so...

Well in that case, I'm glad I went with my instincts and kept it the way I did as I did consider changing it. I just don't gauge things with MickCora the way I do with MickBeth so I'm always a little unsure

I would enjoy MickAnybody) but still come visit us in MickCora and make banners for MickCora and make vids for MickCora, well that is so appreciated. You are a true Mick fan and are willing to let him make his own choices.

And he did. For now at least, he has chosen Beth... and yeah, the Cora relationship was sad... she loved and lost. He loved and lost for that matter, cause while he was the one who walked away (by leaving her in "an inferno, man"... eh, vamp break-ups...) he still lost the love he had married for... the happily ever after he thought he had found.

So this was a great vid and you get MickCora better than you think you do. And I went and added that song to my ipod... loved that song and hadn't heard it before! SO thanks. On all counts.

It is true that I'm a Mick girl first and foremost. I admit that I wasn't always a huge fan of Coraline but that isn't the case anymore. I have learned so many things through visiting MickCora and hearing what others have had to say and through reading excellent MickCora fic that changed my views (thank you to Red & Phoenix ) I will forever be a Mick/Beth shipper as that's what makes sense to me but I am very open to other ideas

I'm glad you like the song. I downloaded the album when I made the At Last vid for Mags and just thought it was perfect for this vid
