“No, not yours…”

He needs blood, I can see how much he needs it. Why not mine? I’m here, I’m offering. Why not mine? Does he think I’m afraid? Of course I am, I’m not stupid. But I trust him. I’m not sure why, I just do. I can put my life in his hands, I know it. I know it’s safe. I don’t know how, but it is. If I can believe he needs my blood, I can believe he won’t hurt me. What is he waiting for, why can’t he just take me? Mick—please--

I really like this. We get too much Mick voice over and too few Beth voice over. Her POV is greatly unexplored. I wonder why.

This is wonderful! Beth, acting on gut passion, as usual... but without the whole story. Another "poor Beth" moment for me when re-watching the episode. I so often wish Mick had given her more information all along... but that would have changed the whole series. Another bittersweet moment. Well done!

And we all understand Mick's anguished, 'not like this' now. Yet, there was something even more intense and loving in Beth's offering Mick her blood in this desperate situation.

I love this, Lucky. Why haven't I commented on it before? I think you've nailed Beth's thoughts here. She doesn't love him yet. But she trusts him utterly. And after this moment, everything will change...

'Not like this...'

That line was so intriguing. One of many little strings left by the wonderful writers that just begged to be explained.

We saw hints, and BOY did we put them together. There should have been a lot of screen time devoted to what Mick meant by that.

Beth's heart filled in the blanks left by what she didn't understand. She was afraid, but she knew one thing--she couldn't let this man die. She just...couldn't.
