Re: Wouldn't Smell as Sweet (G, Mickbeth, sequel)
Oh my God -- I inspired a fanfic? And I'm one of the last losers to read it! Cat, this was hilarious. Vampire panty raid indeed! I'd say it was a fair trade for both of them. (And love the banner with Josef, Lucky!)
I loved Mick being able to see Beth snuggle up with his sweater. So sweet! But as nice as Josh was, he was no match for Beth in the mental athletics department, but she's met her match in Mick who won't let her get away with anything. Enjoyed Josef's snark about Mick's detective skills, too.
Cat, I sure hope your Muses visit you more often, and I hope your loyal readers help to inspire! Thanks so much for this, truly!

Lucky: Ooh, you made a snark just for my story! I'm so thrilled!
Moonlighter: I'm so sorry you missed it till now, I thought sure you would see it right away. Yes, you can pat yourself on the back because this is the first time I've ever written a sequel to a one shot. It's also been a long time since I've written a non-HB ML story too -- so thanks again for the inspiration!
Kelly: Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.

Re: Wouldn't Smell as Sweet (G, Mickbeth, sequel)
This was great. Josh crumbles...Mick rises to the occasion. I loved that he decided to stand his ground...that he pressures her to be honest and finally...big grin and a pair of panties. And he galantly leaves Beth with her emotional safety "teddy bear". I loved that scene in 12:04 when she breathed in his scent from that sweater. Small gesture...huge meaning.
This was such an enjoyable read, Catmoon. As usual!
Thank you!

Re: Wouldn't Smell as Sweet (G, Mickbeth, sequel)
Thanks, glad you enjoyed this and its prequel. That was one of my favorite scenes too. As you said, a wealth of meaning there! I'm sorry, I wouldn't go around smelling a man's sweater unless I really had it bad for him! I enjoyed picking these little scenes out of the series and exploring them in these short stories. Sad there will be no more new episodes to do that with...Raven wrote:This was great. Josh crumbles...Mick rises to the occasion. The great sweater theft, the case of Mick's career. Very cute!

I throughally enjoy this piece each time I read it. You did a good job with Josef's snark as well. He can be tricky to write well.
I loved that guesture and could see Beth sleeping in his sweater.

Re: Wouldn't Smell as Sweet (G, Mickbeth, sequel)
Cat, you might notice from my avatar that I kinda like that scene...
This is absolutely lovely. Leave it to Josef to remind Mick that he has mad detective skillz... and leave it to Mick to use 'em (once he remembers he has 'em), and to figure it out...and keep his cool well enough to resist Beth's defenses.
Of course, Beth's defenses didn't work as well against Mick as they did against Josh. I wonder why not....? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.......
And *snerk* the panties. I hope he got some really naughty ones.

Luxe de Luxe: Thanks, glad you enjoyed.
Allegrita: Thank you. Well now, you knew her tricks were't going to work on Mick, didn't you?
MoonShadow: Thanks. And I always love hearing I did a good job with Josef!
Cassysj: Mick is a great detective, of course he solved the case!
Thanks to all for the comments.

Mick the neat freak - how apt.
Loved the M/J banter and the scene with Beth was just perfect. Silly girl to think she could fob him off the same way she did Josh.
Vampire panty raid, indeed.
Thanks, Cat .

Re: Wouldn't Smell as Sweet (G, Mickbeth, sequel)
Hi Cat, it's me again.
I did read it!
I just didn't comment.
I had convinced myself it was a repost!
Sorry.....
Am I forgiven?
It was cute, btw.
Yeah, that sweater sniffing scene made the knees a bit weak,
And not just for Beth!

AussieJo: Okay, I suppose I shall forgive you. Nope, no repost, I just wrote it a few weeks ago. I was inspired to write a new Mickbeth. See, there's hope for me yet!
Francis: Yep, just love that snark. The weirdest things make me happy...
Redwinter101: Thanks. The way Mick suggest Josef "tidy up" in SB just cracked me up. We never saw anything overt IMO, but yeah the signs were there.
