Just FYI.

maryp from Vamploves wrote this post this morning. You may remember her from the Alex-o.net site who was doing a cross-promotion with another webmaster from Ones2Watch4?

I am going to share a sad note that I got from the webmaster at Ones2Watch4.
I do not think that people she is referring to are members here.. but in case some of you
see yourself in this note.. please think twice about what it means to be a "fan" of Alex's.

from the webmaster at Ones2Watch4:
Those Alex fans are driving me nuts. There are a few that post a comment on other actor profiles on Ones2Watch4 saying Alex is better. Pretty damn rude. I delete the comments but they need to chill.
The problem is that ALL of Alex's fans are getting painted with the same brush.
Plus.. we thought getting Alex exposure on that site would be good for his career.
But if his fans are going to embarrass him and the rest of his fanbase..then I am having
second thoughts about him having a page there.

I recently had a problem with a blog comment from a so called fan.. who had blasted Nina T and was making false claims as to Alex's situation at CBS. I deleted that comment as well, and the person is mad. However, I feel strongly that bashing people that Alex works with now and will work with in the future is not something that will help him. I also do not condone posting totally false statements as fact. I will continue to delete anything like that on my sites.

Going on other actor's pages and dissing them.. does not do ANY thing positive for Alex.

If you know friends who have done this..or think about doing this in the future.. please tell them not to.

Alex needs his fans to support the decisions he makes, not second guess them.
He needs us to watch the shows he's in, see the films he's in ..and buy the DVDs of these shows and films.

That's what being a true "fan" means.. That is what will help him in the long run.

I split this into a separate topic as it was unrelated to the thread in which it was posted.

I sincerely doubt that it applies to anyone on this site.

It is disturbing and unfortunately it's something that the ML fandom has had to deal with from inception it seems. Ever since, she who shall not be named, used to direct people to pounce on each and every blog/site/comment etc that appeared about ML or any of the actors. Sad, huh? Devoted is one thing. Maniacally obsessed is another.

Ones2watch4 is just a collection of pages about actors, etc who have sparked interest. http://ones2watch4.com/ I'm not sure how many hits the site gets or who pays attention to it, but it does seem to be yet another place that certain fans cross that line in the sand yet again.

Thanks again, Red. I didn't know where I should start the thread and more importantly, I wasn't sure how to title it. maryp used a much tougher title for her thread because she was very PO.

Someone discovered the Ones2Watch4 site had an AOL page back in January so we went in to leave comments. Didn't know that somebody went to other actors' page to diss them. That was so uncool!
:getclue:

Thank you SS... I haven't travelled far from home lately... these are the same fans probably who used to post ugly stuff over at Hey Nielsen too...sigh. Again. Tho I'm glad to hear it may not be heavily visited... at least the idiocy may be contained if it is a tiny little corner of cyberspace...
