Midnight Louie wrote:I have been sitting on some information for a while now that was given to me by a family member who is in the TV business. She has access to all pilot information. In light of the fact that I saw the Austrlian Herald Sun has let the cat out of the bag, I can now reveal what I know.

I had been informed that Alex is working on the pilot Three Rivers, which is about transplant surgeons set in Pittsburgh. Alex has been cast in the role of Dr. Andy Yablonski. It is a one hour, single camera drama. Directing will be Dan Attias (Big Love, Grey's Anatomy, House, Heroes, Entourage and many more sucessful, long running TV series). Shooting will begin in Pittsburgh in about a week or so and will take about 3 weeks.

I want to be clear in that this is only the pilot and still has to be considered for CBS’s fall season. The date that CBS will announce their fall line-up is May 20th, so far. Being an Alex fan, I feel confident that he will pour his heart and soul into this role and CBS will be reminded why this man is such a phenomenon.

CBS had noted in the past few months that they were looking for a medical drama to round out there line-up. Three Rivers is going to be up against Miami Trauma for consideration. Let’s all keep our fingers crossed that CBS will choose the right one and that “Dr. Andy” will get a shot (no pun intended). I am very excited for Alex and would love for this drama to air. It has great potential and Alex would bring so much depth to the character, and with Dan Attias directing the pilot it stands a very good chance of getting the pick up.

This information is so new there is no link yet.

Alex heads up river for role

HE'S parted ways with long-time love Holly Valance, but Aussie actor Alex O'Loughlin is not sitting around moping about the break-up.

O'Loughlin has landed the lead in the pilot for a new US drama, Three Rivers.

The role comes after the axe fell on the vampire series Moonlight, in which he played the lead role of Mick St John.

O'Loughlin has had a run of luck since relocating to the US to chase work.

He has appeared in The Shield and Wipeout, and was even tested for the James Bond role that went to hot Brit Daniel Craig.

Finally!! :yahoo: :clapping:
I must say I'm a bit surprised since I had guessed "Back" would be the pilot. Well...the Jericho guy got it. Looks like the end of Save Jericho campaign for them. :getclue:

Breaking news on THR http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/con ... 3c0aa25ac5
"Jericho" star Skeet Ulrich has been tapped as the lead of CBS' drama pilot "Back."

This is how THR describes Three Rivers:

Three Rivers
> CBS Paramount
> Carol Barbee (w), Curtis Hanson, Carol Fenelon, Ted Gold, Dan Attias (d)
> Medical show about organ transplants seen through three points of view: the doctors, the donors and the recipients.
> Christopher J. Hanke, Justina Machado

The very good news is that Curtis Hanson is involved (multiple Oscar winning writer and director - LA Confidential among others).

This is great news, very exciting.
I so hope the pilot gets picked up.
Medical drama is something new for Alex.
Everyone likes doctor drama, but I really hope it has something new and unique and is not another Grey's House or something like that.
I can't wait for May !!!

I have more than proven that I know nothing about show business... but the fact that it's produced by CBS itself... is that a good sign??

This is what Alex said in his last blog
Currently I am moving into a position where we have narrowed down the projects that I have genuine interest in, and hope to have reached a decision on something very soon!
If he chose this show, it must be good. The man has great taste :ysmile:

Now let's hope it will be picked up

It's not a bad sign. CBS wouldn't spend money to produce a pilot they didn't think could work in their schedule. But they will be looking at many outside pilot submissions as well. Whatever they think will make more money they will pick up but at least it shouldn't suffer compatibility issues.
