J-Lo is due a hit so I'm hoping for the former but, either way, I agree with the first commenter on this article - I see a star rising. I'm so, so very happy for Alex that good things are coming his way. Irrespective of how the film overall turns out, I'm positive that given the chance to shine in a lead role, he will be magnificent.

But what about Three Rivers? Will he be able to do both if things go well with the pilot?

Well, it says that filming would start in May for the movie. I would imagine when Three Rivers gets picked up, they would start filming episodes in July sometime. And if he still goes to BBM, our Alex is going to be so busy in coming months, he'll look back on his busy schedule with Moonlight as a cake walk!

ahem, sorry---I am not one bit surprised. He has a deal where he can not only get dibs on tv work, but also take peeks at upcoming films. This deal could turn out to be a godsend for him (and us).

This would be a perfect way to showcase him--a romcom that would give the public this gorgeous man-who many know nothing about, as well as an opportunity for him to do something light that would reach a much broader audience. Matthew McConaghey has made a career out of these kinds of roles, and I could see Alex using this to propel him farther in his career. He definitely has the chops to not get pigeon-holed into only one type of role.

There is a dearth of men of Alex's age who can pull off these types of characters, and he is ripe for the picking.

But he probably wouldn't start filming for Three Rivers until July (which, I think, is the norm for new shows), so depending on the schedule for the movie, he could make it to the BBM, they'd just need to give him a long weekend off.

Good for him. He's been invisible for so long but obviously somebody in the business has been thinking about him.
I've never seen anything Lopez has done but even I've heard of G*gl*. Best not to call that to mind and only think positive thoughts!

I will make it my personal mission to make sure that he does NOT develop any kind of intimate personal relationship with J Lo. Bob help us all.

I am not very fond of romantic comedies but a leading role like this will mean great exposure for Alex to a wider audience.
And then he can make some dramas where his huge talent will shine even brighter.
