Did anyone happen to see the episode of L&O that was on tonight? There was an actor who looked very familiar, and I'm pretty sure it was the man who played Lance.... as a reverend no less.

Yup, it was him. This was a repeat episode, but I saw it several weeks ago and knew it was him right away. He looked younger and oddly strange without that blacked out eye.

Jason Butler Harner popped up as a sleazy lawyer ('cos on TV they're always either sleazy or crusading...) on The Good Wife.

I fell asleep in the middle of The Good Wife... and I didn't notice Lance! Hmmmmpfff!

I saw him rolling those brown eyes of his in The Good Wife. He had a pretty large role in The Changeling, which I enjoyed and found stunning that it's actually a true story!

Does anyone else remember him from Fringe?

He was in the pilot episode as Richard Steig and he was the character that helped start all the wonderful madness that is Fringe.

Yes, I remember him well from Fringe! He was wonderful in that role. I was sorry they didn't keep him around.

A new gig on a new pilot by JJ Abrams, which is pretty noteworthy, but the thing that most caught my attention was how amazingly different JBH looks in the pic!

Wow. I never would've recognized him. I seen bits and pieces about the Alcatraz project. Could be interesting.

I couldn't resist adding a couple of pictures. First the one from the article above and then a black and white one that I find rather intriguing...

See, I look at both those pictures and think , never a thought that crossed my mind as far as Lance was concerned. Maybe it's because in person, Jason has such beautiful eyes, which obviously we never saw properly in Moonlight. But I also think it's testament both to the costume/make-up people and to Jason himself that Lance was utterly vile. From the moment he appeared on screen it was never in any doubt.

I've seen him in the pilot episode of Fringe where he had a double role, and I thought the whole time this man is familiar. And when I looked him up at IMDB I realized it was Lance. This man is a chameleon.

Wow! Chameleon is right, francis. I remember him from Ugly Betty, where he had a bit of that snide tone of voice going on, but when he was on Fringe I never would have recognized him as the same actor, if I hadn't known. And these pictures are the same way. They have such... emotional depth, I guess you could say. I love actors who can do so much to change his looks with expression and body language... and inner attitude.

ETA: Hmm, the description of his character is interesting... maybe a bit Lance-like after all...

He had a large guest starring roll in last week's CSI (Las Vegas). Crazy amazing good in the part. We'll likely be seeing more of him.
