And so we continue to wait for Three Rivers news, for the confirmation we all want.
With thanks to
mwj for the pic, here's a little BUP moment to make the waiting a little easier:

Geesh, I go to lunch with my son and come home to WTF? My guess is they're picking up both medical dramas. NBC picked up two so CBS is picking up two as well. But we'll just have to wait and see. What else can we do? Chin up, ladies!

Yes, as it says at the top and in the OP, we're in Three Rivers, but the pic is from BUP. If I had a Three Rivers pic, I'd post it, but anything to make the waiting easier...

The latest from Nikki Finke at deadlinehollywood is that Miami Trauma has also been given the go ahead to make offers to staff. So it would appear that both shows are getting the greenlight......but then again.

Not sure what's been posted but here is the latest
http://www.tvsquad.com/2009/05/17/cbs-g ... -for-fall/
It's been reported in Variety, THR, EW, Nikki Finkke so far. I don't think they'd all be releasing this if it wasn't pretty much carved in stone. This is a new one for CBS to let out the leaks. They are really going to be promoting Alex though. Movie and now the series. I am so happy for him. I am even happier for us!!

Thanks for that, pinkie. What's got us all madly crossing fingers is that subsequent to that, Nikki Finke posted this:
SUNDAY AM UPDATE: The UNTITLED NCIS SPINOFF and THE GOOD WIFE starring Julianna Margulies were always considered locks at CBS. So hiring writers is usually a preliminary to a pick-up. Having CBS allow the medical pilot THREE RIVERS starring Alex O'Loughlin to start hiring writers would seem to indicate that it's now pulled ahead of rival medical pilot MIAMI TRAUMA from Jerry Bruckheimer. Not true, according to my latest information. I've just been told that CBS has given Miami Trauma the green light to "make staffing offers". I'm hearing unofficially that U.S. ATTORNEY may go midseason.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear...I can't take all these ups and downs. I'm just clinging to the fact that I think CBS knows they have something special with Alex.

I've got a sneaky suspicious that one of the medical dramas may be held back as a midseason replacement. Which one, is anyone's guess. But I'm going to stay cautiously optimistic, which is about the same way I was feeling last night. So, keep chanting and lighting those candles, my friends. Every little bit of positive reenforcement helps!
