What More Will Be- G 5/18/09

This is my humble way of celebrating what Alex has been and what he will be....
What More Will Be
Rejoice with me, I’ve much to do.
My gifts, my dreams, I’ll share with you.
The time has come to take the stage,
New tales to tell, so turn the page.
A man must learn to give and take,
His heart, his soul, at times will break.
A path denied, a restless year,
A new beginning, all hope, no fear.
Each man I’ve been is part of me,
Yet none of them I’ll ever be.
There’s more to me than what you know,
The private man, not one for show.
But what you see, I gladly share,
To make you laugh, to ease your care.
To make you love, to make you weep,
To make you dream, when ‘ere you sleep.
The men I’ve been will always be,
Yet there is more, rejoice with me.

dsr, that was very uplifting. It filled me with anticipation and my heart swelled. So true - I can't wait to see what else Alex has to show us.
Thank you!
Ha! grace is a poet too. She's been holdling out on us.

grace - thanks and GA is right, you have been holding out on us.
GA - Thank you! I'm not entirely sure where this came from, but it was the only way I had to show my appreciation for all of the roles he's played.

Oh,
dsr! This is truly lovely. You've captured the essence of what Alex is about. You have illuminated him.
I wish him all the best--he's really a chameleon, just as you've shown in this wonderful poem. And I support whatever, whoever he is. (Even though I'll always love Mick best.)

DSR - thank you. The poem was great. I am feeling somewhat misty eyed this morning - so happy for Alex - but it is Mick St. John and the rest of Moonlight that has a special place in my heart. Glad that you feel that way and I hope you will keep writing Moonlight stories. Again thank you.

dsr, this is such a great poem. You should send it to Alex. I'm sure he would love it, especially since he didn't seem to be sure his fans would stay with him towards new roles.

Lovely!
And he has barely scratched his creative surface, so to speak.
I am looking forward to all his future projects, starting with TR

DSR, I absolutely love this! It describes Alex so wonderfully!
My favourite bit
Each man I’ve been is part of me,
Yet none of them I’ll ever be.
There’s more to me than what you know,
The private man, not one for show.

Karen...this was just lovely. Such a gorgeous tribute to Alex and what he's given us...and what he WILL give us in the future.
Perfect timing for this - it makes me just a little more excited about Alex's new role!
