I do not own any recognizable characters no copyright infringement is intended. This is because I always remember the day men landed on the moon even though I was only a baby.
"Charles can you believe men have landed on the moon?" Anne asked.
"It’s pretty amazing."
"Charles do you ever think about all the things you’ve seen and experienced in your long life?"
"Sometimes Anne. I never thought I’d see the day we left the planet."
"Babies that are born today will always think of this event."
"What makes you say that?" Charles asked.
"I was born the day the Titanic sank."
"You’re kidding."
"No. Why?"
"I was on the Titanic."
"Really? How did you survive?" Anne asked
"After I saw my donors into lifeboats I jumped in the water."
"But it was so cold."
"That doesn’t bother me. I can’t drown, I just had to wait to be picked up."
"What was your name then?"
Charles smiled "I’ll never tell."
"Have you ever been in a plane crash?"
"Not a plane but the Hindenburg."
Anne was amazed. "No! Sarah was a baby. I remember that so well. I can’t believe all you’ve seen. You once told me you knew John Wesley founder of the Methodist Church."
"Yes."
"That’s the 1700’s. How old are you?"
"25."
"Charles! Will you ever tell me?"
"Maybe."
"You might live on another planet someday."
"I doubt it."
"You don’t know. Charles, I've made a decision. I want to be cremated."
"Why?"
"If you and Sarah ever go to another planet take me with you."
"Anne you’re not going to die for a long time."
"I hope not. But you’re both going to outlive me. I want be nearby. I don’t want you to forget me."
"You’re Sarah’s mother. She’ll never forget you."
"I know that. I meant you."
"Anne, long after I forget who walked on the moon I’ll remember talking to you on that day."
"I love you Charles."
"I love you too."
"But you won’t call me Mother."
Charles laughed. "Sarah would be jealous."
