a singer who knew how to croon.






There were some funky chairs
And a set of stairs






And two lighted towers






And a really cool shower






And some decorative lamps
And a couple of vamps






And some glass on display






And a tumbler of “A”






And a lovely young lady who came by to say “Hey.”






Goodnight room






Goodnight moon






Goodnight singer who knew how to croon






Goodnight fire
And the great jazz tune

Goodnight chairs
Goodnight stairs

Goodnight towers






Goodnight shower ........ (Ooops - moving right on....)

oh, this one was so sad ,Lilly, I did not expect it. It really felt to me just like saying goodbye to the series that was so stupidly cancelled. Believe me, it brought me tears. Is there a smilie with tears to use here?

Aw, maggatha, thank you so much for checking this out. This piece was written well before cancellation, just as a bit of fun (it was a follow-up to the "Green Eggs and Ham" parody), but it certainly has become quite bittersweet in retrospect.

How is it POSSIBLE that I've never commented on this wonderful story here at MLA?! Goodnight Moon was my favorite bedtime story, and this version is my favorite of your vamp bedtime stories... although it's actually kind of hard to choose... I guess I'll have to go look at them all, just to be sure.
