I hope the universe is on your side.

I really do Buddy. I always say I don’t do regrets but this is the exception. If I hadn’t gone against my judgment and let Sarah talk me into it. I could have had years of memories with her. Her father’s still alive, I’m sure we’d still be making memories. Of course she’d look like my grandmother by now but that wouldn’t have mattered to me.

Sarah’s voice was one of the most beautiful things I ever heard in all my years. You'll never know how much I appreciate this diary. It gives me a chance to imagine it again.

Beth is an extraordinary woman. I hope you appreciate her but I suspect she’s like my Sarah. Eventually she’ll want to be turned. There are so many things that can go wrong with humans. You could watch her grow old and cherish 50 odd years with her. You could turn her and she dies. You could turn her and she sleeps like Sarah. Even if the turning is successful could you forgive yourself for ending her life?

OY! Josef is the king of guilt trips on oneself! But he has a very valid point...and I'm so glad he has Sarah's diary - to help him....

Josef is like an onion.

Layers upon layers upon layers.

But unlike that onion, I think Josef's layers are more varied and ever so often you will encounter one that scares the living daylights out of you.

But no one with that that face and all that snarky charm could be really bad...

Could they?

I really want to believe that Josef is just a lot of talk and really is a sweet guy but then there is this nagging suspicion...and that's interesting!

jen - I like comparing Josef to an onion that is really true. He was a character with so many levels and we barely scratched the surface on the show.

Just read this again and while Josef has always struck me as a 'glass is half full' kind of guy, he is entitled to a flash of pessimism here.

Still, he said in WLB that he 'had sired plenty of vamps in his day' and he didn't obsess about any of them, but we really don't know for certain and after all, he loved Sara.
