Tune In This Sunday to THREE RIVERS
Current mood: busy
Hello everybody.
I thank you all for being so patient with me in this hectic time. I have been meaning to update you every other day, but am constantly inundated with requests, interviews, charity work... and of course Three Rivers.
We have had a rough start with the show as far as numbers are concerned. Hopefully, this is due partly to East Coast football and baseball playoffs. But our wonderful cast and crew maintain an attitude of stoicism and commitment in the promise of more attention toward this show which I have come to love and believe in so much.
When I first read the pilot I wasn't sure if I could pull it off. If I could in fact breathe any life whatsoever into this surgeon guy, Andy Yablonski.
I have worked really hard and i continue to study everyday the medical text books and reference material I use for this show. I collaborate with everyone on the show to make it better for you on Sunday, and now we are on the air pushing through to what we hope will be a "back nine" pickup, meaning Three Rivers will live to see a full season.
I want you all to know that as always, I humbly appreciate all the support I constantly receive and that I am fighting hard to bring you a show I hope we can all be proud of.
Until we speak again, thank you and please tune in to Three Rivers!
All my love,
Alex. x

You beat me to it, M_B.
Poor Alex. He sounds so disheartened.

He sounds down.

I am happy he found time to blog, even though his heart did not seem into it. Wish CBS could find another time even Sat. there is nothing new on Sat. Hoping it can outlast football season.
Thank you for sharing.

That comment about the cast and crew maintaining an attitude of stoicism really wrenched me. It sounds so grim.
Bless his heart, indeed...I know, as do we all, how much he believes in this project, and that makes it twice as hard to see it struggling.

I want to hug him sooooooo much!!

He's such an awesome guy to want to blog more, but I think we all understand how busy he is. We KNOW he pours his heart and soul into the show (as he did with ML). I'm going over there to give him some love.

Oh bless his heart! They do all believe in it so and, as usual, he's worked so darned hard for it... he really did believe this was gonna be his hit series, and certainly we had all hoped so too...
And he seems to be verging on wanting to blame himself here, like he's not gotten Andy right yet.
It's not the acting, honey, it's the writing and the jiggly plots. And I think for some, the concept. YOU are doing just fine... you are definitely a doctor. And we ARE watching it! But there wasn't ever enough of US, or your first show would still be on!

Putting any show up against Football and Baseball season is brutal, not to mention a new show working to gain a fan base. Sunday night is just about the worst time slot around. CBS just continues to pull stunts like these.
I hope they can survive. I really would like to know that I can continue to watch Alex & crew.

Maybe I'm an optimist, but... he's being realistic, acknowledging that the numbers haven't been the greatest, yet they've consistently beaten the numbers of the other two new medical dramas....he realizes that there are hurdles to overcome, but he's letting us know that he hasn't thrown in the towel. He's also asking for help.
I found this telling
I collaborate with everyone on the show to make it better for you on Sunday, and now we are on the air pushing through to what we hope will be a "back nine" pickup, meaning Three Rivers will live to see a full season.
I want you all to know that as always, I humbly appreciate all the support I constantly receive and that I am fighting hard to bring you a show I hope we can all be proud of.
He's not talking about surviving October as many of the pundits would have us believe. He's talking about getting picked up for the rest of the year. He also is acknowledging the weakness in the initial episodes (make it better for you on Sunday) and that he's involved in resolving those issues.
Again, maybe I'm being naive, but Alex has been through this before and probably learned a few things from his ML struggles.
Let's see what Sunday brings....(and hope to hell that the late afternoon football game on CBS ends early!!)

I felt the same as all of you. Alex sounds worried but cautiously optimistic..he is a positive-minded person and he is doing all he can to help this show succeed. He is such a wonderful man to keep us all updated despite his horrendously busy schedule (and, yes Alex, we really
do understand how hectic your life has been..we've seen EACH AND EVERY article and interview!! We
KNOW!!

)

He continues to amaze and inspire me. I hope he knows that he has no worries..we are in this for the long run..just like he is...every step of the way to that eventual Emmy nom!
