And consider that of those 5000, as we've seen, there are close to 1000 stories. And many of those 1000 stories have multiple topics, with their many chapters. So I'd be willing to bet a strong majority of that 5000 are fic.

Me??? How do you get THAT idea???
Seriously, I know that we have currently 969 stories in the library, but how many single topics (chapters) I can't say. I would have to add all the chapters in my database, and that's kind of some work. Maybe if I get a few days off.

5000 topics means that we're not only a chatty bunch, we're also diversified. Isn't it great??? And all of this in less than a year.

Okay. I did an approximate count. Found a way to sort my data into multichapters and oneshots, and the multichapters sorted by number of chapters.

There's approximately 2988 topics in the library. Not counted the indexes and such.

Well, first, may I say that you are just amazing, francis! And second, all I can say is, "wow." We are a talented, prolific, and chatty group, aren't we?!

Whoa francis... that was fast... you are good!

How cool to know that the vast majority of our topic count... is literature.

As administrator of Moonlightaholics, I am beyond thrilled that we have such an extensive library. This board was created to be fic-focused, and it's overwhelming to see proof that the dream has been realized.

The nicest part is that our library gets better with every story posted, and with every Champagne Challenge accepted, courtesy of our amazing and talented community.

Wow to the fanfic stats! And I've never read a fanfic. Just goes to show how much this is home even for a fanficless ML lover. The posts (and Mick Pix) keep me going. Such devotion. It is so cool to have a place to just love ML. So, THANK YOU TO ALL!
