I joined moonlightaholics in January and missed reading this in Christmas, buuuut, next year I ll be back... it was so intimate watching them decorating and having ornaments that meant something to them.. that is what we do in my family too.. :hearts:

:hearts: Told you I'd be back, and here I am one year later, still amazed at how intimate this moment seems to me. Maybe it is because it was the first time I thought of Mick and Beth celebrating Christmas together, maybe because of the familiarity of the scene. All our ornaments of our tree mean something to us in the family...

I loved how Beth knows to keep away the sad thoughts from Mick. Most people have them in Christmas time, but she finds the right thing to say always.

I love this story. :xtree: It always makes me feel warm and happy to think of Mick and Beth decorating their tree together and sharing memories, and of Beth helping Mick through the hard parts. That's what love and marriage are about, isn't it? :hearts: :gift:

Fabulous!

Sweet and precious, like those ornaments to be taken out carefully around the holidays and enjoyed anew every year!

Thank you!

Awww! :hearts: MLC, this is such a sweet, loving story. :cloud9:

I love how you included pictures of all the beautiful ornaments. :twothumbs: I enjoyed reading about the significance of each of them. I especially like Sherlock and Watson :happysigh: and the snowman on skis. The Bride's Tree Ornaments are really neat.

It's so cute that your family made a guest appearance in this story. :hearts: As you showed here, the holidays can be very stressful, but they can also be responsible for nice, memorable moments.

Thank you, MLC! :tree:

It's been a few years since this one has come out of the box of Christmas decorations. Good thing it was wrapped in tissue paper so I don't have to dust it.

I hope you all still enjoy it.

Oh, this is lovely. I'd never heard of the tradition of Brides Tree Ornaments. Learning about them in the context of Mick and Beth putting them on the tree was delightful!
