Re: All About Mick #23
Ladies, I'm terribly sorry, but effective immediately we can't have any more Mick threads. They just use so much bandwidth and I can't afford the cost anymore.
We'll just have to enjoy the lovely selection we already have.
Any questions or comments, feel free to post here...

Re: All About Mick #23
Now, grace, it's not poor Phee's fault that the bandwidth is being so picky... I'm sure you can stand it...
I know, let's play a game! I'm gonna pick random Mick threads and pages, and you can go look and tell me if you see anything there you like. (No quoting, though, that will annoy the bandwidth.) And hey, we can always go back to using our words... remember the good old days when we used to talk about him as well as ogling him? That was fun, right?
(Don't hit me!)
Okay, here's the first one--and I swear this is random. Thread three, page 4.
Look in here for the old Mick threads: viewforum.php?f=251

And at least you appreciate the smilies. (They don't eat up bandwidth or anything, of course.)

Great idea, Alle! In the meantime, I've started processing the existing pics. The new thread can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=6138

Re: All About Mick #23
Words, you say? You want WORDS seulement in a MIck thread???
Ok... here's some words... having, as directed, viewed the suggested thread and page number:
Let us commence with the image posted by SirenSong, a promotional photograph of the guest-thespian in the role of Lenny escorting and, indeed, supporting a clearly suffering, dehydrated, and blood-thirsty Mick toward the fortuitously located so-called No-Star Motel in the desert. First of all, allow me to pontificate upon the very concept of promotional photographs. The photography, of course, is most-oft superior to the screen captions, as the image is arranged, painstakingly no doubt, to the photographer's discriminating specifications. However, they can also mislead regarding the actual denouement of the attendant episode, as these shots are created for aesthetic purposes only rather than advancement of the plot itself.
Now, after contending with the visiting cable guy... I shall return to bore you some more.

Re: All About Mick #23
Grace, I have to agree with you on the nature of promotional photographs. They are, indeed, a two-edged sword, so to speak. While the quality is often much better, they do tend to look a bit posed; and also, as shown in the very photo you are describing so beautifully, the promos often do not portray events as eventually shown onscreen. For example, Mick in said promo shot has no jacket, no baseball cap, and worst of all, he's wearing some d@mn fugly shades! He does, of course, manage to overcome the shades and look gorgeous... because that's what Mick's good at... overcoming obstacles and being gorgeous...
(Phee, hope I didn't use too many smilies for the bandwidth...if I did, let me know and I'll remove some of 'em...)

Hmmmm... yeah... I think you are utterly promiscuous in your smiley usage. Regard my restraint:

I understand the need for the new format Phee and am more than happy to comply. Anyway, we don't really have to see all the details. We've seen them all before and have them committed to memory. The new and improved bandwidth awareness format makes scrolling must faster too!
