Dangerous.....
Stepping out from the shadows at the fountain, talking to the wild child reporter. I knew it would put us on a perilous path to say the least.

Difficult......
Accepting her love face on. Understanding her love IS meant for me, returning my love without endangering her. It's all so....complicated.

Complicated
Taking a drive with the top down, thinking while we enjoy the night air how much I want her with me for now, forever. Knowing when I park the car....it will be in Mrs. Turner's driveway...and I'll be facing her, asking for her daughter's hand.

Dangerous, difficult and complicated. I'm totally dug in, it's just who we are. Anything else wouldn't be our bareboned, unvarnished love.

Awww. You give the words Dangerous, Difficult and Complicated new meaning, making it all about Mick's feelings. But it is. I think for Beth it never was as complicated and difficult as it was for Mick. He is so focused on the concept that it can't work. You give him a new perspective. And in so few words. Awesome!

I'll echo francis.....so few words, yet such an insight in Mick's feelings about Beth and their future.

Beautifully done, Lucy.

To base this around Mick's feelings was inspired.

I love the ending here... he is gonna face Mrs. T again for the first time in how many years, and thus come clean about who and what he is to her. That is also brave... and shows he has accepted himself at this point. You REALLY got a LOT into those few words.

Lucy, I'm so glad you're back, and writing again. This is a really poignant (but happy) look at the words from Mick's perspective. Good things do come in small packages!

Oh, Lucy, Mick's love shines through for Beth in your story! To face her mother when he knows she'll recognize him, all because he loves Beth...just beautiful.
