I'm not sure I can add much to the comments on this story...except that I agree.

I do love the introduction of the fleury cross. I've always wondered, along with everyone else, about Mick's jewelry.

And the best part of this story is...there's a sequel! hooray!

Strange how compelling those pieces of jewelry are .... they do seem like characters with stories of their own to tell.

I'm glad you liked this version of where the cross came from, Lucky.

(And that you're interested in the sequel!)

Thanks so much.

Sorry about your sleep, maggatha  . . . but how great that you went on to the sequel in spite of that!
I'm really glad you liked this story. Thank you so much for the comments.
(And oh, I love your avatar!)

Fabulous.

So very glad that the fleury cross pendant that Mick wears is not a momento from Coraline. If Coraline were well and truly dust, that would be one thing but with her still among the undead..no.

You have made it a wonderful connection with Rosie.

I was just hear for another reread.

Thank you!

Jenna

I sure didn't want it to be, and in the show it really didn't seem as if it was. Surely Coraline would have made some reference to it - or at least taken notice of it - when she reappeared in his life, if it were so. So in spite of the fleur de lis pattern, so reminiscent of Coraline, I always thought there must be some other story behind it. I'm so glad that you liked this one!!

I've just had a delightful re-read of all 4 chapters - and it's just as marvellous as the very first time I read it.

Truly, this is wonderful.

Ah, finally!
Dawn light came through the windows, and it was warm.
A perfect ending to that story and all those possibilities for Mick. At least he came to realise that no matter what the future brought, he would never lose Beth..and he could have a chance with Rose too, if he chose to!

Maggatha, thank you so much!

It's such a delight to know that you came back to read this one, little fledgling. (And that you've gone on to the next!) :rose:
