I don't want to get anyone's hopes up but does anyone know why Amazon would send out a post showing the DVD at a discount and acting like it was released in May 2011? I don't get it?

It does read like a new release. The pic looks like the discs are different too. Repackaged maybe?

It's been re-released - no idea why as the original release is still available and there are no extras listed. According to a question asked on Amazon, these were the replies:
This new re-release won't be coming with outer slipcase and no disc artwork. Other than that it still the same.
You get less for more $. New isn't as nice. Is that the difference?

Wow - talk about a favourable price comparison. The original DVD version is on sale at Amazon.com for $29.92 and Amazon.co.uk for £6.47. I'm unused to things being cheaper over here.

Perhaps they sold out of the initial release and have re-released it. It doesn't look like the new issue has any more content than the old one did, alas.

But hey - how cool is it that they are re-releasing it?!

That means it's a solid seller and is still making them money after all this time.
ETA: Red, your post and mine overlapped. That is a bit of a shock! Maybe it didn't sell as well in England, so they've discounted it more?

This is bizarre. Shoot. Still no extras; they SO missed a huge sales opportunity.

Has anyone worn out their DVDs yet?
Well, that "new" release from May 2011 is now on sale at Amazon.com for $13.49!

Not sure how long that price will last, but I thought I'd mention it.

Thanks, Carol! LOL - I swear, I posted that info yesterday, from my phone. Lynnrxgal tipped me to that WB sale, bless her. I guess my phone ate the post.
I'm of two minds about it - it's a good opportunity for us to pick up a few more copies of the DVD set, but it probably means that once these are gone, they'll probably be really gone.
