Just finished watching the ep. Jason was fantastic!! I jumped when he grabbed Helen's arm in that office! He was so charming for the first half, so calm, cool and in control, then he slowly unravelled until BOOM, the end, when he completely lost it. He reminded me of Josef here and there at times, but I saw this as a completely different character. Bravo Jason!!

BTW, if anyone's interested, I made a banner using that rather compelling scene that Lilly so kindly posted. It's in my Banner office, under Miscellaneous banners. I won't post it in here, because it's an alternate universe take on the scene, and has some adult orientated references.

And I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door

I just saw this last night. I have to say it was good to see him again. I really noticed last night that one of the things about him as an actor is that he has a softness and vulnerability to him -- one of the things that made his turn as a psycho killer that much more effective.

RedJason Dohring vs Tim Roth – There was so much potential in this storyline, Dohring played Martin’s psychopatic tendencies with a great restraint, leaving chills with a mere wisp of a smile or a cold stare. Roth’s interaction with Dohring was definitely exciting, and their scenes brought a lot of intensity to the screen making it hard to look away. It also begs the question as to whether we’ll see Martin again. The fact Martin was able to trick Ria Torres, create doubt in The Lightman Group, and nearly pull one over Cal Lightman, of all people, makes Martin Walker worthy of the title, “Best Possible Re-Occuring Villian”.

Gee, it's a shame that reviewer didn't like it...redwinter101 wrote:Another review:

Personally, I think it's rather telling that so many of the reviews have praised Jason's work so highly. I mean, around here we're a teensy bit biased in his favor, but I don't expect most of the reviewers are raving Jason fangirls (or fanboys, as the case may be). He really is just that good.

First impression was, "Wow, he's handsome..." (Yeah, I'm as deep as a puddle sometimes. )
By the end of the show, I was just so grateful that I'd seen Jason in another role first - because if Martin had been the first character I'd ever seen Jason play, if I ever have the privilege of meeting the man, I'd run away screaming.
Jason was amazing. Any actor who can hold his own on-screen with Tim Roth has to be very good.
Martin was the stuff of nightmares.

This is a thread to celebrate & discuss Jason's guest role on Lie to Me, so may I suggest taking AU discussions to PM, in order to keep this on-topic?
Thanks, folks.
