If you read a lot of books you are considered well read. But if you watch a lot of TV, you're not considered well viewed. Lilly Tomlin

It's a pretty good list too - some of my faves are on there (although there are, as always with these things, a couple of oddball choices). Lovely to see Life on the list too.
So much quality TV cancelled - and still Caruso survives.....

Yup, I agree with some of their choices. Like Veronica Mars, Gilmore Girls, Extras and Deadwood. I didn't really get into Journeyman, but the premise was interesting.
And of course Moonlight...

Caruso...ugh.
I love being validated, but still, it hurts to know that everyone loves it......NOW.

You know, I've seen that same promo shot of Mick and Beth countless times, but as I look at it now, I just can't understand how TPTB couldn't see what they had. Alex and Sophia are both stunning, and their on screen chemistry was amazing.....what wasn't to love?

Re: ML AGAIN on a gone too soon list...
I watched ML, VM, Pushing Daisies, Eli Stone, FIREFLY!!!, caught Extras and Kolchak (where else would "Karl" come from
)on DVD. The others I either never watched or they just didn't catch my attention.
Meanwhile, two of my favorite early cancels never make those lists.
Drive - with Nathan Fillion, and a show from the 90's called Nowhere Man with Bruce Greenwood that I watched when I was a kid.

I didn't think Extras was cancelled.
I thought Ricky Gervais & Stephen Marchant did the same thing they did with The Office (
) and ended it by choice after two series. Did I make that up?

eris, I can't say as I've heard of either of these shows, but Bruce Greenwood caught my eye. FWIW, he played Capt. Christopher Pike in the most recent Star Trek movie. I'd never seen him before, at least that I could remember, but I thought he had one of the strongest performances in the entire movie. His ease in playing the role (some of the others were trying too hard to channel other actors), his command of the role, were all apparent. His voice, in particular, got my attention.eris wrote:I watched ML, VM, Pushing Daisies, Eli Stone, FIREFLY!!!, caught Extras and Kolchak (where else would "Karl" come from)on DVD. And yeah, a few other of my favorites are also on there and I am pleased to see Life get the mention too. That cancellation made SO much sense, 'cos NBC had so many OTHER fabulous shows to air this year.

Tho I wouldn't pay attention to these lists ever, were ML not almost universally now on them.

You have to wonder just what is in Caruso's contract with the network. I liked him on the one season of 'Hill Street Blues', but ever since he's been CSI, Miami, all he does is stand around looking menacing. In dark, long sleeved clothes, no less, in 90 degree weather. Personally, I wouldn't mind if Caruso and company or the original CSI moved to Sunday night freeing up some prime real estate for the newer showswpgrace wrote:redwinter101 wrote:It's a pretty good list too - some of my faves are on there (although there are, as always with these things, a couple of oddball choices). Re: ML AGAIN on a gone too soon list...
I agree that it is a pity. Some of these shows such as 24 have had a pretty fair run. It is much better to go out on top than be around too long as was the case with ER. But in addition to Moonlight, which is definitely at the top of my list, I still miss Pushing Daisies, and Dollhouse, but I am happy that the shows knew they were ending in enough time to come to a conclusion of sorts.

Thank you Coco for the lovely banner.
