I'm so, so behind in my reading ... just found this for the first time.
It's truly wonderful -- not just a fascinating and original idea for the point of view, but perfectly brought off as well.
And I love the idea that the sire is also changed during the turning. That explains a lot about Coraline .....it really fits.
Brilliant.

Wow, I don't remember if this was posted anywhere else, I don't remember reading it before. Very good. Interesting point of view and I loved how you summed up what happen. In her haste Coraline botched Mick's turning. She never really knew him and paid it.

What a beautiful, powerful piece of work, francis!! Amazing way to point out the sire-fledgling bonding as well as the beginning of Mick and Cora's relationship. :rose:

Francis. this is my first time of reading this story. And it's amazing! Something so seemingly unable to communicate and you give it such a powerful voice. :thud: It's wonderful, lovely. :rose: I also think it's a wonderful idea that even while Mick lay unconscious, his blood wanted to be avenged. It's inspired honey. Thank you so much for sharing it.

This is the first time I've read this, francis! (Apparently I live under a rock.) Very creative and thought provoking. I liked this:
Mick’s essence is filling her; his conscience, his kindness, his utter honesty and straightness is making her blood boil with repulsion.
All the goodness that is Mick is in her now, and she can't stand it. I hope it was a constant reminder to her of what she took from him.

Well done!

Oh my gosh, I'm so glad this got bumped up. I think I read it long ago and far away... and I sure hope I commented on it then. It's such an innovative viewpoint, such a powerful way of showing the story of Mick's turning. I just love this story. Especially the concept that the blood of the victim infiltrates and changes the vampire who takes it. :hearts:
