Let's kick off with a couple of gorgeous pics from the Donate Life Hollywood event, reposted with the kind permission of the photographer, Susan Whitney (with the stipulation that the pics are not altered in any way):

I just drowned in those eyes and stopped breathing way longer than is good for a human with asthma. But it's soooo worth it!

And why would THOSE pics need to be altered????? They are pretty perfect...

That first one is my new favorite...

I am absolutely in love with the way that man wears a suit.

I am so envious of whoever gets to drape that long, rangy body in clothes...Alex has got to be a joy to dress. He looks good in just about everything.

They are wonderful pictures and I love the first, mainly because it captured Alex in the moment. I think the fact that Susan Whitney is not a paparazzi had something to do with it...no posing (you know the slightly narrowed eyes and almost smile). I agree francis, those eyes...with a few more pounds since TBUP premiere and a wonderful crooked smile. Gorgeous.

Sigh... I love the way he looked here. Not exactly relaxed, because he was definitely "on," and he was a little bit flustered! But so genuine. I agree, Luna, that the reason her pictures are so good may be partly that she's not a paparazzo (-a?). He wasn't facing a wall of flashbulbs and people screaming his name, so it was a much more personal experience. And he was definitely among friends there. He looks confident and happy and rested. And ready to get to work!

This is why I love having you as my beta... And you're right the first picture was taken without a flash (the photographer in me), hence the wonderful blue eyes, and the wonderful overall color...wow.

In the second picture, you can actually see curls near the back of his neck!!!

I checked out Susan Whitney's website - looks like she does portrait photography. She's very, very good. She sure did a beautiful job with Alex...I'd love to see what she could do with him in in her studio.

I'm so with you, dsr. I miss those curls. Going by comments Alex has made, he didn't particularly like growing his hair longer. But I loved it so.

dsr., you're right..........oooooooooohhhh...how did I miss them? Because I have missed them as well, but maybe it was because I was totally enthralled by the eyes.

Yeah, well, she'd probably like to see what she could do with him in her studi...oh! You meant with her camera...

And I keep coming to visit that first picture... it is truly the MOST beautiful picture ever, with the eyes and the perfect, gorgeous face. And btw, CurlsGirls, you can see them in the first pic too...
