IMDb has a popularity ranking known as STARmeter. It's really just a measure of the "buzz" surrounding a personality or a project.

IMDb's description is:

"STARmeter rankings provide a snapshot of who's popular based on the searches of millions of IMDb users. Updated weekly, these rankings also graph the popularity of people over time and determine which events affect public awareness."

We thought it would be interesting to track this number for our favorites actors.

This is really interesting. I love poking around in IMDB, but I've never bothered to get a pro account. I might get one--there's a lot of cool stuff that's only available to pro members...

I wonder if Alex's buzz will go up as we approach the debut of H50... I imagine that it'll go way up after people start watching the show...

He's gone up again this week. Looks like the buzz was good at ComicCon.

Given all the promos for H50, I woulda thought it might even be slightly lower... or more... however you express that...
Tho I guess his name is not in any of the commercials... anyway, holding steady.

It'll be interesting to see what happens as the premiere approaches...

So the casting of Masi Oka redounded to Alex's benefit?
I'm ok with that.

Yep. Alex went up 82 points, while Masi himself only gained 52 ... he went from 3658 to 3606.

Well, that hardly seems fair, does it?! But then again, there were other factors besides just Masi joining the cast, one assumes...
