I love the theme and this idea has been floating in my head for a while.

Josef let himself into Mick’s apartment and poured himself a drink.
Blech. How he survives on dead blood is a mystery to me. I have got to improve his diet.
It was Josef’s turn to pay for the Freshie Drug/Disease test. Every freelance had to be tested quarterly and every exclusive annually. It was expensive testing every freshie in Los Angeles but the vampire who paid got to keep all the healthy blood for his personal use.
The lab called Josef and told him the blood was ready to be picked up. He called Tangie and had her rent a moving van and told her to take Summer and pick up the coolers of blood and bring them to the storage facility at Kostan Industries.
Tangie came into the office with an annoyed look. Josef there are over twenty coolers and they are not separated by type.”
“Unbelievable. Are they labeled?”
“Yes but there are hundreds of vials. Do you want me to sort them?”
“No Babe. I’ll have someone else do that. Just bring up two coolers to my office.”
Josef looked at his watch and saw he had two hours to kill until his next meeting. He called his assistant Laura and had her get him some blood bags.
When she returned he started taking vials and mixing cocktails. He filled one bag with just A & O Negative. The next one was the Obi O pos/neg B pos/neg with a splash of Tangie and Summer to top it off.
Next bag was the Rich Man with AB pos/neg.
Then finally one bag of all A positive.
Laura buzzed him and told him the client was stuck in San Francisco and had to reschedule.
“That’s fine Laura, set it up. I’m leaving for the rest of the day.”
He packed the blood in his briefcase and headed for Mick’s apartment.
He let himself in and pulled four offending bags out of the refrigerator and replaced them with his hard work.
Mick arrived a few minutes later.
“Feel free to let yourself in. You know Beth and I could have been busy.”
“If you and Beth were busy I would have smelled it when I opened the door. Why don’t you be a good host and offer me a drink?
Mick laughed. “You haven’t poured it yourself?”
“No.
“That’s unusual.”
“I’m a polite guest.”
Mick grabbed a bag and poured two glasses. He sniffed and made a face.
“Has the dead blood gone bad?” Josef asked.
“No it’s…… What does this taste like to you?”
Josef took a small sip. “This is delicious.”
Mick drank again. “Guillermo doesn’t mix blood types. I taste A and O neg and I swear I taste a drop of Beth in here.”
Josef shrugged “Maybe Beth is seasoning your blood.”
“I just opened this bag, there is no way she could have done that.”
“Did Beth have the Freshie Drug Test?”
“Yes.
Josef laughed. “Buddy I have a confession to make.”
