Now, I feel one of those 'my head hurts' moments coming on.

When Lance and his indentured servant dropped in on vampire Coraline and Mick-on-the-cure, Mick accused Coraline of giving him the cure just to get him killed, but if a vampire is on the cure and they die, they revert to their vampiric state as Coraline did in ICU, right?

So, with Mick on the cure that Coraline had just given him, had Lance staked him, he would not have died as a human would die from a mortal wound, he would just have become a vampire again.

Sooo, Mick really wasn't in as much danger here as we have all thought, is he?

I'm not sure. I thought Coraline was reverting because she had taken the cure a while a go or Cynthia had turned her. I think they can die while on the cure.

About Mick's comment. That may have been true, but Mick didn't know that. From his POV, I can see how he might jump to that conclusion (and it wouldn't even have to be a sexy vampire jumpy thing :snicker: )

Well, it's the only explanation that takes cares of that absolutely ridiculous move when Lance threw Mick into the garbage dumpster so hard he dented it, but yet he survived.

I know that next week, Beth will freak out thinking that Mick could have fallen to his death from the top of a building while on the cure and will say that she isn't used to worrying about him.

One of those issues we have enough evidence to take in either direction we want, I guess.

At first I thought that was so ridiculous, it just jarred me out of the scene. But then after I read people's theories on the board that the cure was more of a "mask" than a "cure," it made sense to me that this (the dented garbage dumpster that no human could have walked away from) might be an early clue dropped by the writers to indicate the cure wasn't real and Mick was on a Don Quixote quest.

They rushed thru the cure so fast in our next ep... :sigh:
They could have done SO much with the groundwork laid in tnite's ep.

Interesting theory, HM. I can see that.

Grace, I think that's because of the "missing episodes". After the writer's strike, it seems as though they tried to pack about 4-6 weeks of stories into the next episode. It made Beth look ruthless (a week of mourning???) and it cut a lot of things out that would have happened in the meantime.

I didn't get to watch this evening, but wanted to drop in with a comment. My theory on the "dented dumpster" is that the cure took some time to spread completely through his system, and he wasn't fully human during the fight, although he was rapidly getting there. Hence, he could dent that dumpster, and walk (okay, stagger) away with badly bruised ribs, but nothing broken.

And BTW, that move with the stake when he nailed Lance's minion...best fight move, EVER. He looked so cool doing that--turning human hadn't taken away all those years of experience!
