A note from the new operator of our thrill ride...

Dear Fellow Moonlightaholics,
Well, we've swept up the confetti from the goodbye party, and had a weekend to get used to the fact that our dear Phoenix has flown the nest.
So, you may be asking yourselves, what's gonna happen now?
I want to assure everybody that I have the same vision for this site that Phoenix did, and the same wonderful women running the forum with me. In terms of what this board stands for and what we hold dear, you won't notice any changes. This is still a site for Moonlightaholics. That isn't going to change under my ownership.
It is still our aim to have the best Moonlight fanfic library anywhere, and we always welcome Moonlight fanfic writers to bring their work here. We'll still have Champagne Challenges for our wonderful writers, artists, and fan video artists. We still plan to discuss the characters, their relationships, the ins and outs of every episode, the locations and props and clothing used on the show, the vampire mythos and how it applies to Moonlight... you know what I mean. We're still MLA.
So what is going to change?
When you have a moment, I invite you to take a look at our "wish list" on the State of the Board announcement thread. As you'll see, we still have a lot of plans to make this board even better, without changing its basic philosophy and focus. And we're always open to your suggestions, to help this board serve you even better.
In the spirit of new beginnings, I would love to see a revitalization of our Moonlight home - more discussions, more participation from our members, a return of old friends who may not have dropped by for a while. It would be wonderful to see a renewed interest in the episode discussions, more fan art, and more fanfic from our writers (myself included).
Remember Mick's voiceover when Beth asked him why he goes on living?
You make me want to.
When it comes right down to it, you are the reason MLA is here. You are the reason I took over the board. All of you, even the ones who never post. If this board fills a need, if it adds to your lives, if it makes you happy... that's the best reason for us to continue working to make it a thriving place.
All the best,
Allegrita
