Drabble - Sonata (G) (Keep It Short Challenge)

A new 100 word, between the lines drabble for the “Keep It Short” challenge. From the ending of Sonata. You could even consider it Valentine themed. :hearts:

Disclaimer: I do not own Moonlight, its characters or any of its dialogue.
Rated: G
Characters: Mick and Beth (as if you didn't know  )

How can you remember that?

How can I remember the moment I let you see me after twenty-two years? I remember everything about you. Your flannel nightgown, your fear and your trust the night I rescued you. The look on your face when I told you I’m a vampire. The trust when I told you how I was turned. Your caress when you called me your guardian angel. The red gown and your happiness when we danced. When you first kissed me. When I first kissed you. Why do I remember all these things? It’s easy.

Because I love you.

And I've just noticed none of my other drabbles ever made it over here! I'll have to remedy that.

This is just lovely!

Of course he remembers! He keeps each and every memory of Beth preserved, They are very precious to him.

In a way the story of Moonlight is so much like the old Greek story of Pygmalion, who created a statute of the perfect woman and then fell in love with his creation. I know, in some ways that doesn't make sense, but I have always thought some of Beth's personality traits come from being watched over all her life.

Happy sigh! :melts: :melts: :melts:

Wonderful!

Jenna

I believe I read this over on MLF, but no matter where I read it, it's still just absolutely wonderful and encapsulates Mick's feelings for Beth in that span of a few seconds between question and answer.

Aww... I love this one. So very Mick... all those amazing thoughts are running through his mind, and what he says is so simple... but succinct. :happysigh:
