Alex in InStyle Magazine, April 2011
Thanks to the lovely, talented, and extremely generous mwj01, here are scans of Alex's article in the April 2011 edition of InStyle magazine. And my dear friends... words fail me, they really do. So without further ado....

Thanks to both of you lovely ladies
I'm with Lilly - that second picture is just (although I did laugh at the socks. If anyone can pull that off and get away with it, he can.)

The look on his face alone in the sock pic, like he is SO into the joke and he KNOWS he can pull it off, is worth the cover price, no?darkstarrising wrote:Thanks to both of you lovely ladies

Thanks mwj and thanks alle! I'm in heaven. I almost fell out of my chair at the first pic. LOVE that one! Love the grin in the second one, and yeah, it's like he's in on the joke with the socks. The Burberry coat... okay, not my fav. But it's Alex!
This is awesome. I might have to go buy this one.

OneZebra, that's what you get for having grandkids.
I just love the first two photos. Thank you so much to mwj. The sock pic just ... wow! I don't really care for the combo in the third pic. I love the interview, he's very honest and open. So he was to New Orleans lately, and he used to be a player with women but not anymore. He's a fashion junkie. Wouldn't have thought that. He has a quirky style but he has taste.
This just makes me love him more.
And I loved the Moonlight meat, so there!
The comment about all his fans being 65 - when you look at the videos of his premieres, he could be right.

Re: Alex in InStyle Magazine, April 2011
You know, it's got to be kind of weird to go to these photo shoots and have people hand you clothes to put on which you may or may not even like.
I know when I saw the blue trench coat, my thoughts went to "That is so not Mick". Which isn't fair, I know, since Alex can't match Mick's style when it comes to coats. (See my avatar)
I wouldn't never have thought of him of having lots of clothes since he seems to be a jeans and t-shirt kind of guy if you catch him on personal time. And he is decidedly quirky.
And the 65 year old comment? I'm having mixed emotions there.

Am I the only one who liked the Burberry coat?!? I agree the pants weren't right. I'd like to see it with jeans... but I loved the coat on him.

Well, I've seen him in things I've liked better. The shorter length on that trench coat just didn't make it for me.

All the 65 year olds are looking at what could have been and comparing him to what was. Tears usually follow.
