Had a flash of a bit of Greek mythology of a talented sculptor who made a statute of the perfect woman and fell in love with his statute, which came to life.

If Logan has trouble meeting a nice vampire girl, he can always make one! Which he did!

Ah, what total fun. Carly is such a great character, she really drew me in to the story even before Logan's arrival. And how delightful to see Carly and Logan having a date in Mick's Mercedes! (Especially since it came so close to being a silver Prius.) Their little mutual confessions were so endearing.

That must have been quite an eventful 2 weeks before the ending. But Carly seems quite happy with her new status!

One of the things I loved about Lucky was her versatility. One story would be dark and tragic, and the next a frothy little bit of fun, like this. But her lighter pieces were just as tightly written and well crafted as her serious pieces. She was a true writer. I miss her so much, it is an almost unbearable ache. But I find comfort in being able to "visit" her through her wonderful stories.
