PJ is one of my all-time faves and this is one of their best! I've been a PJ Ten Club member since the beginning (actually caught onto them about 2 years before they broke big - sorta like we caught Alex just as he was breaking. And Eddie Vedder gives Alex a run for his money, in my book. Those are two very sexy men. )

Anyway, I loved how you matched Mick's re-turning with the "he'll begin his life again" line! Tres clever! And yeah, vampy Mick. Somehow, I knew Leo would make an appearance in this one. Very fitting considering the theme of the song (hard life on the streets).

I've always loved the chorus of this song - it's just brilliant writing - but especially loved what you paired with it (especially when Mick came floating down from the ceiling):
Even flow, thoughts arrive like butterflies
Oh, he don't know, so he chases them away

I always had a very clear mental picture of the "he" in this song (that's how good a storyteller Eddie is), but now I'll always think of vampy Mick too.

I'm a huge Pearl Jam fan and ITA on Eddie Vedder.

I think the song is perfect for Mick and lends itself well to the more angsty, vampy side of him.
