Re: Ian Abercrombie (John Whitley)
He was a great villain who was sympathetic because he lost his daughter.
Rest in peace, Mr. Abercrombie.

I was just about to post about this, but saw the thread. I remember him first as Mr. Pitt from Seinfeld, then our own John Whitley, who lost his daughter and wanted revenge.
RIP Mr. Abercrombie. Thanks for being a part of our Moonlight Kingdom.

I'm very sad to learn that he has passed away. I loved his performance in Sleeping Beauty. He made us believe in John Whitley. He brought him to life as much more than a cardboard adversary for Mick, Beth, and Josef. We understood Whitley's fury and grief over losing his daughter, and also his autocratic nature.
Rest in peace, Mr. Abercrombie.

I suppose it's a tribute to his acting skill that I figured he had already died. After all, he looked so ill in SB.
Looking at his imdb, he has alot of acting credits. A life well lived.

I'm unexpectedly affected by this loss.
I couldn't quite put it into words earlier. It's not as though I've been a great follower of Mr. Abercrombie's work -- I've actually only seen him in Moonlight, as far as I know. But, he left an undeniable impact on me as John Whitley. I guess the thing is ...he's the first ML actor we've lost. That makes me incredibly sad.
