I've always loved the Butcher Boy song that played at the end of "Click" . . . and this video uses another song, "Trouble and Desire," from the same CD.

You chose a wonderful selection of clips, and did a great job of matching them to the song lyrics. I especially like how the shot of the cure is paired with "I just want to find a way home."

The way you flashed between the shower scene and the hotel scene is amazing! The scenes flash perfectly in time with the music.

I had a hard time with that -- it was so much simpler imagining how it might look . . .

Shadow, what a gorgeous song, so filled with angst. It's perfect for Mick and Coraline, from the name to the lyrics. And I love the way it just kind of fades out at the end... it doesn't really resolve, just as Mick and Coraline weren't given a resolution on the show.

The flashes between the shower kiss and the hotel kiss are amazing, and I also love the way you echoed the lyrics with your images all the way through... "cold" with the freezer, "my lips are black" in that nearly black-and-white flashback to Mick's first kill... it's just brilliant. And it really struck me, the sadness inherent in those overlays of Coraline's yearning expression as Mick walks along the beach in the sun, and then the soft, sweet, sad kiss she gave him when she gave him the cure. It's fascinating how her fingers slid down his cheek almost like Mick's fingers slid down the inside of his door at the end of Fever, or down the taxi window at the end of Sleeping Beauty... that little lingering caress of someone who is on the other side of a barrier, and can't get through...

Ohh, I never saw that connection before . . . and you're right, it's just the same gesture and for just the same reason . . . so sad yet so lovely, too . . .

Such a cool vid, Shadow.

The clip selection is spot on for the lyrics and the vid has such a good rhythm to it. I particularly love how you've edited the two kisses together and at such a fast pace. Perfect timing.
