I went to the last page in my office and then to the bottom of that page. This was first posted in November of 2011 and hasn't been off the bookshelf since. In rereading it, I barely remembered how it ended and I wrote it! Thirteen years ago!

So I figured time to bring it out into the daylight. Or moonlight, if you'll forgive the pun.

I'm so glad you rescued this lovely AU story from the back of your office, MLC! I'm a sucker for a happy ending... although this is more like a "happy middle." I love the idea that Mick would be brave (and vulnerable) enough to say what was in his heart. And I love thinking of Beth calling him back, and them really talking about the important stuff.

Sometimes fanfic can be truly satisfying.
