After I read it I'll have to do a review on shelfari. It's like a social network book site. You list the books you read and your friends can see your books and read your reviews and then you get recommendations when you list a book such as if you liked this book then...

Maybe someone already mentioned this but there was a Tweet from Trevor (I think yesterday) that a chapter of the book had been posted on http://fangoria.com/ I read it and I have to admit it sounds more like a vampire Philip Marlowe than the Mick St. John we know. Probably a lot of you already knew that and others will find out when they read the book. It was a bit of a surprise to me. I want to support Trevor but I'm not sure how I feel about such a different Mick?

Well, MLS, it's Trevor's original, dark idea of Mick, before his ideas got changed by Ron Koslow and all the rest. And yes, it's very, very, very different from what we saw on screen. I think the best way to approach this story is to realize it's a different universe from the Moonlight universe. Don't try to compare Mick Angel to Mick St. John. They have a few things in common (they don't hunt women or innocents...), but they are definitely not the same guy. And the world they inhabit is not the same world.

ETA: If you read the review that Lilly linked to on a previous page of this thread (here's the link again: http://www.dailyblam.com/news/2011/01/2 ... r-o-munson ) it will give you a good feel for what the book is about, and for its style.

I have had the chance to read the first 8 chapters because Trevor posted them on his MS page back in Nov 2007. I went in knowing it was not the Mick we know and that was OK. Trevor is such a good writer I was sucked in immediately and have been dieing to know how this story turns out. Yes I put Alex's face to his Mick Angel and it made it all that much more enjoyable in my minds eye. It is definitely a much darker story then what we know of our lighter, romantic Moonlight...this is NOT Moonlight, it's Angle of Vengeance, the inspiration for the characters and different mythos of the modern Vampire. Keeping that in mind I think you will enjoy reading this book.
