That was unexpected.

You talking about the episode that just aired, honey?
I thought it was one of the better eps of the series, and perhaps Alex's best job yet as Andy.

Interesting ending, tho I must say the transition was awkward. Director's issue, not the actors'.
And I'm tearful. It was a tearful ep.

Exactly, Grace.
It was a highly charged ep.

Unexpected. But I find I don't really care. After last week's episode, which I really liked, this kind of returned to the sterile atmosphere of the early episodes. Without giving anything away, I didn't find it believable.

There's gonna be some great screen caps...
And they really focussed on the docs this week.

We got a bit more of the doctors than in the previous eps. It's like Barbee was ever so slowly, and haltingly, feeling her way to a formula that might work to make an actually interesting FULL 45 minutes of drama.
We'll see if she's really taken a step forward here, or if she just lucked into a successful episode this week... the promos for next week did NOT look as compelling, but they never showed great promos for this show, so next week will tell.

The one moment I found amazing was when Andy had to tell Scott's parents that their son didn't make it....he just stood there, but the body language conveyed his own pain, his face his agony.....even in the hospital cafeteria afterward, the body language, the voice were those of a man defeated, until he was given hope....
I'm with Andy....Scott's loss hurt.

DSR, that scene did me in.
Grace, I can't figure Barbee out. TR does seem all over the place to me. Last week's ep would have been a good way to go if they could keep it consistent. Some day, when I rule the world.

True,
Dark. And I continue to be amazed at how different from his other characters Andy is... he really seemed like a doctor, particularly tonite, to me. I thought the penultimate scene was some very nice work from Alex... the chat in the cafeteria. The body language. But, as I said, the transition to the next scene seemed a bit... abrupt. Not Alex's fault, or Amber's. And maybe just my issue. They didn't quite get me there, for why THEY got there. But it's a sexy scene, so what the hell... should make for some awkward next week I would suppose.

Grace - I hate when they do that. Throw two people into the sheets in a

mannner. It may provide eye candy, but I can't help but think, what was that about? (the reason I could not get into "knocked up" even though lots of folks thought it was hilarioius)

Yes, that transition totally confused me making it unbelievable. If there had been some banter mixed in the episode, I might have bought it.
I guess I was watching a different episode than everyone else was. I felt no emotion, no deepening character development. Miranda and Andy's "confrontation" at the meeting wasn't a very big deal so when she felt she had to "clear the air", I was totally surprised.

The scene between Andy and the pretty blonde nurse whose name I don't know was just about comfort. That is all I got from it. Andy was hurting and she wanted to make him feel better.
The episode was OK. I watched TR for Alex, but I still don't know what all the names of the characters are. Sometimes a show will come along and you know everyones names from Episode One and sometimes it just doesn't gel.
I just say, the pain that Andy Yiblonski exhibited made him seem more sympathetic. At this point though...
Did anyone catch a promo at the end of TR tonight?
I know I must have misheard it....

What do you think you misheard?
Here's the description of the episode
Dr. Jordon, Miranda, David, Andy and the others deal with the captain of a firehouse who needs a lung transplant. One of his firefighters must make the tough decision of whether or not she wants to be a living donor. Meanwhile, Andy faces a personal and professional dilemma when his uncle comes to Three Rivers for treatment from a stab wound, but requests that Andy keep it to himself.

I'll note that Redwinter posted photos of the episode back on page 6 of this thread. The exact time is Thu May 27, 2010 10:29 am.
The second photo does bode well for some serious drama.
