That was always my question Lucky... he didn't have a chip... did Lola give him one, out of professional quid pro quo or something? Doubt it.
So Carl doesn't swing that way, eh?

Re: B.C. (Episode Six)
Carl breaks the news to Josh that they have no drug.

Josh is stunned. But they have 5 ounces!

Toxicology couldn't find anything illegal in it - its just filler. There is some silver though - enough of that could kill a person (Renee would agree).

But people are paying a lot for the stuff. They have to be missing something.

Carl reminds him that they have one guy that might talk - just have to ask him.

So Josh goes to visit their guy. Their guy is complaining. Says he's just the doorman; he creates a cool factor.

Josh suggests he think how a jury will see it. How they will see three dead people who bought drugs from his club.

Three innocents who bought his marketing - best high ever.

They'd hear about the 'cool factor'. How they line up outside so the doorman can tell them they're not good-looking enough to get in.

The doorman wants a deal - he gets immunity but he'll hand them Lola who makes the drug. He knows where she is.

Josh tells him he has to wear a wire and say exactly what he's told to.

I think the guy realized he was in a no win situation. Personally, I think jail would be the better option. Maybe he realized it too.

Lola walks through her warehouse with Calvin telling him that they will be relocating.

There will be a fresh supply of vamps to choose from. They take any more from where they are, someone will start noticing. (I think that's already happened).

Lola stares coldly into a tank holding a silver ridden, prostrate vamp being drained. She says they've already drawn enough attention.

She then turns her attention to Calvin and blames him and his human girlfriend for it.

She grabs him by the throat.

And with evil glee, stares into his face.....

as she snaps his neck.

I see we are back to the Alexis Carrington look with Lola here...

Ah--and that last pic reminds me of something (small) that annoyed me no end...why did the female vamps have the wrong teeth for their fangs?! Is it because Shannyn had a small mouth, and her canines just didn't show enough?! Hmmmph.
On the other hand...what a great scene. I love Lola here; she has no sense of attachment to anyone, vamp or human. Bye-bye, Calvin...into the soup you go!

I'm not sure what you mean by the wrong female fangs Allie, I thought Lola's fangs look great.

If you notice, Lola's and Coraline's fangs are on the teeth that are one "in" (toward the center) from the canines. So they just have two teeth between their fangs, instead of four like the male vamps have. It looks weird to me.

I noticed it too Alle! Maybe female vamps have their fangs different from canines.
More likely than not, I think you may be on to something with the size of the mouth. I have a very small mouth. (despite post numbers to the contrary)

Ahhhhh....more Lola goodness. So cold-hearted and quick to solve a problem. Guy pisses you off and messes around with a human model? Snap his neck. Problem solved.
And am I the only one who questions Beth's common sense here as she takes a drug she knows killed three people? No wonder Josh didn't want her following this story - although I did love them going nine rounds when Josh takes her home. Josh is starting to see that Beth is in a little too deeply with Mick, even if SHE can't see it yet.

Re: B.C. (Episode Six)
I figure it was for comfort because women's mouths are smaller. My mouth is super small and those fangs I wore for the Gala were too big for my mouth. I'm going to get some petite ones for the BBM. LOL
All the vampires in True Blood wear them on those teeth and I hate the way it looks. Apparently, Alan Ball said that he wanted them to look like snakes. Que?
I notice her fangs came out, but her eyes didn't change. Hmm...
Yeah, Beth's common sense is questionable.
I figure it was Lola's poking and prodding at her that made her want to try it, but seriously woman!! You are NOT invincible.

ah.... gotcha Allie. Now that you point it out it does look weird. Perhaps the girls have smaller mouths.allegrita wrote:If you notice, Lola's and Coraline's fangs are on the teeth that are one "in" (toward the center) from the canines. Re: B.C. (Episode Six)
Ladies, ladies... youth is not about common sense. Beth's a young woman. She's also pretty reckless - she breaks into places, she confronts scary old vamps in their offices (without an appointment!). She wants to know what its like being a vampire. I would have thought it was weird if she didn't try the stuff. I thought she did ok by just putting a little on the tip of her finger.PNWgal wrote:Ahhhhh....more Lola goodness. So cold-hearted and quick to solve a problem. Ahh...the impetuousness of youth...
And Beth IS a reporter, which by definition makes her foolhardy (anything for a story).

I wasn't as impetuous as Beth when I was 19. But in Beth's case I can't imagine her not taking it considering how curious she is about vampires.PNWgal wrote:Ahh...the impetuousness of youth...

Re: B.C. (Episode Six)
Thanks for that, cassy - that made me think of something else.
Beth can't see the downside of vampirism so OF COURSE she would try something that would make her see things from Mick's POV.
