I thought the first visable cracks in Beth and Josh's relationship was at the end of Fever when Beth is obviously confused about what she was feeling.

Re: B.C. (Episode Six)
Mick has done some investigating on Delores Maxford Whitaker and he's about to give Josef an update. First he goes on, babbling, annoying his BFF.

Josef cut's him off, asking Mick if he's found her.

Before giving up any info, Mick wants to know if Josef has him tracking her so that he can cut off her very photogenic head.

Josef asks why he would want to do that. Mick proceeds to share what he's found. Using the cell that she called Josef from, Mick tracked her down and discovered that Lola bought a metric ton of silver. Oh boy! Josef's a little surprised.

Mick asks if there are any vampire enemies that she would be looking to get rid of. Josef says that he can't imagine any vamps wanting to go up against her. She's old and with age comes power.

Josef shares a little background. When he met Lola she was building a pirate army. That got Mick's attention.

Mick wants to know what Josef isn't telling him. Josef says Mick's senses are off. No, Mick's detective senses are not off.

Josef admits that Lola stole money from him and it's embarassing.

She siphoned a million dollars from one of his accounts before she disappeared. Mick, jokingly, asks if Josef gave her his password. Josef smiles in response. Mick's incredulious. Josef defends himself saying he didn't do it on purpose.

Mick tries not to laugh as Josef explains that on principle alone he can't let this go. He has a reputation to protect.

Mick wants things clear. It's just about money - no hurt feelings about being stood up. Josef says no so Mick continues with the information he has. He knows the address the silver was delivered to. Josef reminds him that Lola is powerful, Mick can't just confront her.

Mick reminds him that because of his once a decade booty call a dangerous vampire is now in posession of a huge quantity of a deadly substance. He has no choice but to check it out.

Mick is so handsome and so alpha in this ep... and in this scene... I just love it!
And GA, your choice of screen caps and your witty captions for them are priceless... I come here to re read them sometimes... You are so funny and yet so perfectly recount the eps...

I. Love. This. Scene. The back-and-forth between Mick and Josef cracks me up every time I watch it.
I think what I enjoy most about this scene is we start to see cracks in Josef's collected, snarky, "kill them all" facade. It's nice to know that even he's vulnerable and can make mistakes...and Mick seems to enjoy his friend's discomfort to the max.

Thank you, my dear. Your appreciation make it all worth it!And GA, your choice of screen caps and your witty captions for them are priceless... I come here to re read them sometimes... You are so funny and yet so perfectly recount the eps...
I agree, PNW. Especially his being so vulnerable over a female. He's uncomfortable being the one who got taken advantage of. Even by an older, more powerful vamp. Bottom line - she's beautiful and exciting and he got snowed.I think what I enjoy most about this scene is we start to see cracks in Josef's collected, snarky, "kill them all" facade. Re: B.C. (Episode Six)
Even though Josh asked her not to persue this story (total waste of breath), Beth shows up at Club Valis, the last place Renee Beresferd was known to be.

She waltzes right into the place, dressed for the part.

While she's casing the place, she gets hit on.
http://s14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/ ... _HitOn.jpg
She's not interested but the guy notices her looking towards the VIP room.

He tells her you have to be pre-approved to get in - for qualified buyers only.

But he doesn't know how you get to be one. Beth goes on over and gives getting in a try.

The guard at the door to the VIP room checks her hand but tells her sorry. Beth plays surprised - she has a stamp. He tells her a stamp doesn't get her in. She asks what does.

He says there is a list. Beth wants to know how she can get on it.

She has to talk to the owner. Who is the VIP room which she can not get into. Talk about Catch 22. Beth looks up at the glass wall of the VIP room. Wouldn't you know - the owner is standing there watching her. But she shakes her head at Beth.

Beth gives it another try (ever tenacious) and says that her friend Renee, who is a member, said there would be no problem with Beth getting in. No dice. Beth looks back up. She's still being watched.

Beth leaves and the owner watches her leave.

Mick goes to the address he has from the silver delivery.

He gets through the gate and walks down a long hall.

Using his special sniffing ability he zeros in on a door and kicks it open. Doesn't look like a very nice place.

Mick walks in and is assualted by a smell(s).

He opens a container and out falls a dead vamp. Ewwww!

Mick begins to gag. The smell must be atrocious.

The room starts to spins. *Gasp* There is silver all over his hands.

Mick wipes it off on whatever is available.

She waltzes right into the place, dressed for the part.

Ummmmm yeah, that's good.
You actually posted some pre-sniffing pix, a 'sniff tease" if you will.

I LOVE Lola, but I think they dressed her in cast off clothing from the old Dynasty show, no?
And thanks for including the sexy sniffing Mick... it's one of his strong points... number 42 I believe...

I had something intelligent to add here...
Unfortunately, I've slipped into Lisa's shallow Mick-is-sexy-sniffing universe.

ROTFL. And the way her shin shined (say THAT 10 times fast), I wondered if she was real or a barbie doll.

Obligatory comment on the actual topic of the show--why, oh why did they hire that ferret-faced actor to play the VIP room bouncer? When he said he provided a "cool factor" later in the show, I nearly swallowed my tongue. I think I looked a little like Mick did when he gagged on the dead-vamp stench. I mean... COME ON!!

Re: B.C. (Episode Six)
I didn't care for him either, Allegrita. I thought he was kinda slimy. But later when he's pulled in and questioned by the police and rolled over on Lola he fit the character.
