Aquamarine's First Party PG-13

This is a sequel to Freshie Present/Freshie Past viewtopic.php?f=160&t=4451 I'm bringing my freshie character Tangie into this story to play





Tangie, this is Aquamarine. She’s going to be serving tonight explain the procedure to her.

Of course Josef. Aquamarine that’s so pretty.

Tangie is a great name. What’s it short for?

Tangerine.

That’s really an original freshie name to come up with.

Unfortunately it‘s my real name. I hate it but Josef calls me Tangie and I think that’s a big improvement. So have you been a freshie long?

Not too long. Three months, I got a referral to an agency.

So do you have much experience with clubs or parties?

No is it different?

Tangie laughed. Very different. When you work at a party you can’t say no. It doesn’t matter if the vamp is old or ugly or rude. No is not an option.

Is anything else on the menu besides feeding? Aquamarine asked.

Any guest can feed from you, and some of them get a little frisky but you won’t be forced to do anything with them. Some vampires like you to dance for them. Dance not take your clothes off.

That’s fine. I understand. Now am I supposed to wait until summoned or walk around and offer refreshment?

You sit on this side of the room until someone picks you. After they’ve eaten you move to the other side of the room. You don’t leave until the party is over. A lot of girls make that mistake. Are any of your friends working here tonight?

No, they were interviewed but not picked.

Okay I’m going to pair you up with one of the semi-regulars. Her name is Dawn, she’s been to a lot of Josef’s parties. If you follow her lead you’ll be fine.


Later that night.


Tangie introduced Dawn and Aquamarine and went to wait with the other exclusives.

About a half hour into the party she noticed Michael Thompson was selecting Aquamarine. Tangie felt bad for her because he was not gentle and always acted like he was entitled to more then dinner. He grabbed her wrist and bit without finesse. She managed not to cry out but she noticed a few seconds later he dropped her arm and headed to a brunette across the room. He didn’t even bother to stop the bleeding. Dawn took her to the ladies room and helped her clean up.

Michael really likes Olivia. Dawn said. They have a relationship that goes beyond feeding but he hasn’t asked her to go exclusive. Every time he sees her, he goes straight to her no matter what he’s in the middle of.

Thanks for helping me Dawn. My question is do I go back on the menu or am I supposed to go to the other side of the room?

Dawn sighed. To be honest I don’t really know. If Tangie’s free we’ll ask her or any of Josef’s girls.

They left the bathroom and were glancing around the room for Tangie who was busy on Josef’s lap.

Two very handsome vampires made eye contact. Dawn whispered. That’s Robert Johnson. He works at Capitol Records I’ve always wanted to meet him. I don’t know who the other guy is but he’s gorgeous.

Robert Johnson pointed at Dawn and waved her over.

Good evening. May I offer you refreshment? She asked politely.

Yes. Josef recommended you. I don’t usually drink A negative but he said you’re worth the exception.

My name is Dawn.

I’m Robert Johnson do you mind if I take from the throat?

Not at all.

Aquamarine was waved over by the other vampire.

Good evening. May I offer you refreshment?

That depends. How much did Michael feed off of you?

Aquamarine blushed. Only a few seconds sir. He saw something more to his liking.

You’re very polite. He was quite rude.

Aquamarine knew better than to make any derogatory comments. Sir, if you prefer Beef to Chicken that’s what you should eat.

My name is Gary Barnes. What’s your name?

Aquamarine.

Tell me that’s made up.

She laughed. Yes.

Actress? Singer? Model?

Some modeling but I hope to be an actress.

I’m a casting director at Warner’s. If you taste as good as you look, I’ll use you as an extra for the picture I’m working on. If you show up on time and don’t complain, I’ll consider putting you on the short list of actresses I use for under five jobs. It’s not Shakespeare but it’s a way to build up your credits.

She couldn’t believe her luck. Thank you. That’s very generous.

Not a problem. The one thing I know about Josef is he doesn’t hire addicts or prima donnas usually. But right now Aqua I’m hungry.

Wrist or throat? She asked sweetly

Throat. No offense but I don’t want to taste Michael’s fangs.

I understand completely and she settled on his lap.

Josef was finishing with Tangie.

What do you think of Aquamarine? He asked.

She’s friendly, pleasant. She handled that situation with Michael very well.

I was impressed with that. Josef said. She did very well for a new girl, I'll definitely invite her back.

interesting peek into the freshie world, cassy. it's not a bed of roses, is it?

It's not always easy being a freshie, especially when you're starting out.

Being invited to Josef's means a lot more than being on the menu. It means he trusts her to be a good person, and that gives her opportunities beyond feeding. Nice look into their world.

Wonderful start.

The world of the freshies has really develoiped in fanfic. Had Moonlight had a season two, I think this would have been a rich area that would have been explored. It is a wonderful example of how interconnected the worlds truly are.

That's right, jen. If there was a season two there could even be a spin-off. Cassy could do the script with her dolls.
The name of the show? "Dollhouse" perhaps...

jen - I had almost forgotten this one. I had hopes to do more stories with Aquamarine but I got sidetracked. Maybe I can pick her up again one day. I agree if we had season 2 freshies would have had a bigger role.

Oh, francis, that's brilliant! You should try to sell that idea to Joss Whedon. (Oh... wait... nevermind...)

Aquamarine has lovely manners... nicer than some vamps I could mention... humph! I'm really glad she met a nice guy who might be able to put her on the road to a good career as an actress. Of course, we don't know if she can act... but now she's got a chance to show Hollywood what she's got!

Josef's got an eye on Aquamarine, and that's a good thing... and with Tangie's help, I think Aqua will do just fine as a freshie. Assuming that she doesn't become a famous star, that is...

Alle - Josef does have a soft spot for Aquamarine given her family history. She does have lovely manners and could definitely fit in Kasa Kostan.
